Where we are ?
What do people think of this summary.
H&H have ideas, but to implement and be successful they need the support of the supporters, existing sponsors and new sponsors they spoke of bringing in.
My impression of meeting is that they probably have support of 80% of supporters present. Non present are either not interested in a new club or will go irrespective (and between the two).
I cant really judge what existing sponsors think. Does the fact non were at the top table say anything?
As for the coop. They have excellent guidance but have to make their own decisions. I think there options are to a) support the initiative and push for representation b) walk away and hope something else comes about.
(100% speculation), but what would happen if the sponsors and coop join forces. (to use someone else's language)...... all they need to do is form a club, find a ground with one in Nuneaton earmarked, find a league and decide on the kit.....SIMPLE

Think H&H give us a better chance of playing at a higher level on our own ground ( in Nuneaton ) within my lifetime and i haven't retired yet . It could also crash & burn within a decade ( but that probably applies to 99% of clubs in the country ) .
My big concern with a more local setup is they will still be playing on a roped of parks pitch at a very low level years down the line and who really wants that if their honest .
A lot has been made of the fact that the new club will play at LR but what choice have they actually got . There's no other grounds available in Nuneaton and it's a damn sight better than Barwell . As long as there actively seeking a site in Nuneaton there's realistically no where else better that's more local . My support of the new club is not unconditional , the boro was but i'll give them a chance and see where we are this time next year .

and if something better comes along, then you have not invested anything so no shame in jumping ship.
one can only make decision when there are options

If AT were open to leasing the ground to a football club, we could have a club in Nuneaton in double quick time.

Not sure if already answered, but did H&H give any reasons as to why they feel the need to setup a football club in a town they have no known links to?

Holliday ambition since being a kid (he was no good at football) was to own a club. They looked at others (Coleshill I think was mentioned), but Boro were perfect in terms of support and potential.
I think they wanted to be more involved at Solihull but fell out over a gentleman's agreement (sound familiar?)

Yes heritage - this project will also tell you the gates at Liberty way whilst Boro played there. They were nothing to write home about not even with Boro in National.

Somehow there has to be United front VS but that may be difficult judging by what’s gone on.
There are some who will totally embrace a new club and fair play to em but there must surely be others who are so pissed off with yet another collapse that they may say bollocks to it.
I’m n that camp - I’ve no stomach for another fight back from the low level and to me it’s time to move on from it all- too much damage been done the last 5 years for me.
That said if those who wish for a rebirth can get together then good luck to them.
A couple of hundred turning up to a coop meeting doesn’t prove to me thought that there is a massive appetite.
Some Boro fans have very thick skins though and even having been shot down three times are still willing to carry on the fight. Some don’t want to let go but what’s the betting in 10 years time Boro return to conf north and go bust once again?

from memory - 250 turned up for Hitchin and Telford games but both had "attractions".
If only 150 turn up then thats probably bigger than any other in the proposed league.

Which will probably propel Boro forward but once back to step 3 things will be different. Boros fan base is ageing and new fans will be needed - will low level non league played out of town attract new people?

H&H need a hell of a lot before we even get to the point if who will support them.
They need a clear and workable groundshare agreement.
How many teams already use that ground? Who will take priority for 3pm Saturday matches?
How will the taking from events be sorted?
How long are they willing to be called Nuneaton without being in the town?
Can they just take the badge that was designed for The Boro?
Will they bring back the Boro Jumbo and white shorts?
Some of these issues are bigger than others, but all need addressing.

Are they the only team to play there?
What division are they in? If we are the senior team, why would they let us have priority on their pitch?

The team in the higher league again takes precedence, because the fixture lists cascade down through the leagues, therefore it is interchangeable.

Yes, I believe so.
They play in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands (the same league as Bedworth United)...Level 8/Step 4...they are the Senior team & will have priority over fixtures.

I believe so.
I remember Vernon's explanation now...the club in the higher league have their fixtures published first & then the club in the lower league fit their fixtures into the schedule accordingly.

No team will groundshare with another team if they have to make way for a renting team playing Saturday 3pm
If we groundshare with anyone we will move round them not the other way round or I’m guessing they simply won’t groundshare with us

I’m very confused.
I’m sure I’ve seen quoted that Leicester Road was £1000 per game?
If the “club” want to take bar, gate and EVERYTHING associated with match day, I’d assume LR will charge a lot more. Let’s even say £2000.
How can they expect to pay that at step 6. For 30 games. Plus a “budget”.
Let’s be honest. Nobody is going to pay for hospitality at Step 6 on an awful ground.

On Monday Andy was clear about ground share agreements and the nuances of them.
* Cut of gate
* No rent but bar takings
* Fixed rent but no bar takings
* Fixed rent with bar takings.
And all sort in-between.
What I was not sure about was sponsorship (boards in particular) and how that would work.
