Horses at The New Ground
Views: 905
I think that as we begin to climb back through the Pyramid, realistically we are going to have to get some horses. They can graze on the grass when we play away (as long as it's not 3G 4G or Gee Gee) and their manure would nourish the turf.
Plus they could form part of a small petting zoo which would attract kiddies. Instead of electric turnstiles we could install horse powered ones, saving electricity.
I've been costing them and they are quite cheap.
If we got big horses we could get them to pull transport from Town to Hinckley Beduff or wherever our new Ground(s) would be.
I know quite a lot about horses. There are big ones called Shires and one called Shergar who was a famous horse until he got lost.
What do others think?

What gives you the confidence that we are going to climb back through the Pyramid, we are more likely to go the other way!
Never mind a promotion party, an Appeal to buy a second-hand table, a bucket & some rope would be more useful at this moment...under promise & over-deliver.

After all the donkeys we have had to suffer seeing on the pitch for the last 5 years or you now want horses.

We've had a few of those too. Mostly on this forum.
I think the petting zoo could really take off.
When we are in The Premiership we could upgrade it to a full size Safari Park. Build it and they will come.
Possibly.

Whatever is decided needs to first & foremost future-proof the football club.
Crucial decisions made now cannot leave the new Boro hamstrung in years to come...

I think someone suggested previously that these would be useful to include in any plans being drawn up for the new ground(s)
My thanks to all who have offered constructive comment and advice to what is basically a fairly absurd idea. It's good when people take impractical ideas seriously.
(Some people are better at this than others).
Don't forget the "ignore" button. A very useful and satisfying device in these strange times.

I now believe that my involvement on this forum has become so upsetting & unwelcome to so many posters, that it is time for me to call it a day.
I will still follows events but my input has now ended.
My club has died & that is the end of the road for me, so I will sign off now by wishing everyone well in your new adventure. I will still keep a look out for the results.
Good luck everyone, I hope you achieve your goal.

You must have been aware of the usual tactics from The Coven ? Like Bert’s dad says, they could use the ignore button but it could also be said that there may be an ulterior motive.

You'll be missed.
I think that Cov Rugby fans need an advice to help in the Butts Stadium development.

Oh no.
Fancy having a huff , just because I introduced a moderately random and slightly wacky thread.
I just thought horses unicorns and petting zoos might lighten the tone a bit.
I was going to develop the thread into suggesting that a team of Shires lashed up to some kind of generating unit might power floodlights for the new ground(s)
JHCOAB ..the amount of stick I've taken on here when attempting to make serious points.
And yet...still here...
