Bet he wouldn’t have lasted so long managing boro if he didn’t own the club. Pretty easy to have a job when you have the power and answer to no one
His managerial record at Boro was abysmal
His boro side in conference north was abysmal
His boro side at southern prem was abysmal
His lack of football contacts is abysmal
His signings were abysmal
His tactics were abysmal
His playstyle was abysmal
His subs were abysmal
His game management was abysmal
His behaviour by the pitch was abysmal
Apart from Klopp only manager with more excuses than ideas
Todays word of the day is abysmal by the way

I've just read a post by JG on Facebook praising Mark Grimes (with veilled digs at others).
I had to smile at this.
Not to sure about some others, people quickly forget without you putting all the foundations in place with me there would never of been a Nuneaton Boro fc for everyone to join (You worked so hard)given there is now no NBFC (not MG fault I add)

Did I say otherwise? I suggest you read the post AGAIN; particularly the last sentence.
JG claiming without him (and MG) there would not be a boro to follow.
.....Did you enjoy the boro game last Saturday>

We managed to run up nearly a million pounds in debts . Then got kicked off our ground due to not paying the rent which amounted to a couple of players wages a month . Then made sure there was no chance the landlord would change his mind . Then killed the club , yet it's no ones fault . I feel an ITV drama coming on .

Smurf reneged on a ground deal with the Nuns a year before that but nobody ever mentions that.
Or that Kash reduced his offer and pissed Smurf off!

his words > not mine ; he shook hands with smurf on a deal
smurf reneged and sold to a higher bid.

Smurf shook hands with Nuns year before and then went back on the deal - 300k.
I've never seen Kash directly quoted but I do know Smurf was pissed off because he reduced his offer to 190k.
Its no skin off anybody's nose because actions have consequences starting with Ian Neale.

I don’t know much about Kash - seems to give money away and makes promises (and not always keeps …… personal/indirect/historical experience from something I’m now involved with).

Totally disagree with your reading
He was saying without MG there wouldn't have been a Boro for JG to join.
Past tense.

And my point is without the actions of JG there is now club to follow and MG no longer has a job.

If that was a genuine thing then the club would probably still be at liberty way. Would not have much (if any) difference to the circa £100,000pa increase in debt.
I was told (take that for what it’s worth…. I did) before LockGate that the club would not see the season (either admin or liquidation). Whether that’s true is a different matter.

the bottom line to all the 100's if not 1000's of posts
no one can seem to run the club on a sound and sensible footing
whether you include some of the support who
demand success before entertaining even attending matches is somewhat debatable.
i dont honestly know ? however its always been the same and im going back 70 yrs.
success followed by turmoil its the clubs DNA in a nutshell
the total endless mismanagement has finally caught up with it
ie. END OF.

And “it would have been better if run by H&H)
But with transparency and reality* people will understand.
* H&H spoke of FL and having an academy better than CCFC
Your point was however “Rochdale failing despite being a fan owned club”. At least 3 people looked behind the headline.

And I was pointing out how some will say H&H would be a better option in reply to Greg.

They are already doing that. Despite weekly updates from the Co-op on progress, people are constantly asking where we will be playing, what colour kit etc etc etc. I'm sure progress is being made, but the Co-op are being very wise not to announce anything until deals are signed - H&H did that and look where that led.

I am not sure of your point, but figures make things clear,
jG took over Feb-19
Debt ending June that year was £551,180 (a profit of £1,138!!!!)
Between June 2020 and Jun 2022 the debt had increased by £200,389 (including a £60,067 profit in 2021 probably due to covid loans).
I guess the loss for the clubs non-promotion promotion season was at least £100,000.
again (guesstimate) if not for covid Boro would have lost £300,000 in the 3 full years JG has been running the show.
In other words about 50% of Boro Leisure debt has been accrued during JG ownership.

Stockport,Villa and Rushall windfalls softened the figures too. Season ticket holders ripped off with the season finishing early. He is probably the only Borough manager to have three separate seasons expunged from the record books too.
Nuneaton Borough FC is dead—Killed by incompetence.

Well that has really caused a real issue now with the newly formed Nuneaton
About 50% of our match going fans only turned up around November 2018 so guessing now he has a new team the JG FC fans will be migrating back to Barwell for the spring
That’s our fanbase about to be slashed 😂😂
