Player’s wages !!
I have read somewhere that the wage bill for NFC should not be high, when up and running at their new soon to be determined level. I sincerely hope that the wage bill will be zero actually. If it is to be the lower reaches of the MFL then NFC will find that no-one pays at that level.
These upcoming seasons may not be easy on the eye but will be hard to stomach at times.
And could the first friendly be against Barwell ? Anyway, approaching Kenilworth Road.
We were warned, but did it anyway.

What ever league / level we start at , what ever league/ level we get to , i think it’s fair to say they will be no silly money paid out , we will live within our means, that’s the idea of having a community set up .

Think its easier to say than to do, one of the reasons we have overspent in the past is pressure from fans to do well

I think/hope the most important thing is what constitution/roles/articles are adopted.
Hopefully these would negate any temptation to "push the boat out".
This would be aided by having people who "sensible" and conservative involved.

I would rather they make a big surplus in the 1st season then a small one after that.
Everything is pure guesswork at the moment.
I would also hope a "unwritten rule" is that players must live within 20 miles (or whatever) of the ground.
PS _ If you listen to JG podcast he mentioned paying players at Atherstone when they were low (not sure how low). Pretty sure he said the same at clubs he was at pre-Adders.

He brought money into the Boro - that went well.
Many thought barwell would not survive without the money he took credit for bringing in.

At level 6 Griff are only one of a very few sides , possibly the only ones that dont pay and they struggle most seasons . A few pay far more than you might suspect . Most at step 7 don't pay officially but that don't mean they don't . Do you honestly think players are going to travel all around the midlands for nothing . We will need a wage budget if we're to have any chance of making any progress .

Clubs at step 6 charge between £5 & £7 generally we can probably charge a pound or two more because our fans are used to paying it .

That's is true but as SR says below our ambitions will be different to theres . If the fans are not prepared to support the new club they might as well say so now and save everyone time's . Even at the levels we're going to be at it will cost money and as a supporters run club that's where the money will need to come from .

The club will not be with a boom and bust mentality, budgets will be sustainable based on income
Incidentally I was thinking about our Beazer homes league days step 5 I think it was , we had some fantastic crowds and plenty of local derbies
Obviously crowds have dropped significantly since those days , however plenty of local interest games will boost crowds again significantly

No we were demoted from the Gola league and then relegated from Beazer Premier into Beazer Midland.
We went into administration. Reformed under a new Company and played in the same League.
The days before demotions for going into administration.

Incidentally I firmly believe one of the main reasons our current homelessness is down to our back to back promotions …
our success on the pitch come too quick in hindsight for town in my opinion rather any consolidation and having the opportunity to build at that level .
Again I am really looking forward to visiting places that I would of never ventured

Re: Player’s wages !!

Some truth to that it’s clear that expenditure out stripped income for a considerable period of time and debt got higher and higher.
The homelessness I think is almost entirely due to not honouring the groundshare and splitting the ownership of the ground from the Club!
And the trigger was not paying the rent!

It’s not going to be easy for the new club. Small steps and lots of hope somewhere in Nuneaton can be found.

Nope, and you are correct it will not be easy at all, expectation will weigh heavy on those running the club, how many times have we seen on here in the last few seasons in the SCLP posts saying "we should be beating these village teams"

Having read (now deleted) post on Facebook they have not started well.
Someone on the committee position Something about a manager being appointed next week.
ALSO - Its been 4+ weeks since the last public meeting. I am sure it was said they would report back and/or have another within this time,
That said, I would rather things be done properly and as many things concrete before any announcements
