The Oval today
Views: 924
There's a few of us (maybe 20 or more) heading over to The Oval on a fact finding trip for the Bedworth United v Corby Town game. For me, it's been 27 years since I last set foot in the place!
If you are heading to the Oval today, please note they do accept card payments at the gate and in the club, but their food bar can only accept cash today.

Bedworth 2-0 up . Crowd 84 up on their average . Probably a few from Corby as they're one of the divisions better supported team .
In fact the best supported .

Enjoy! expect the Beduff nut cases know you are going by now so watch out and Corby well, I've been at the receiving end there.
Note to self, 'be careful what you wish for'

I've been attacked by Bedworth fans before, once even when wearing my Santa is a Boro Fan hat in a pub in Nuneaton.
Will be interesting to see whether or not I will be safe next season wearing a Boro kit to a home game.

Well not a great game, but I guess nobody really cares about that.
The Oval isn't a bad ground - certainly no worse than Barwell. The covered canopy in front of the club kept the mix of home fans, 50-odd Corby fans and a smattering of Boro fans dry and made for a decent atmosphere.
The nearest bar tap is about 8ft from where you can watch the game, which will no doubt be popular.
As a Beduth fan said at half-time: "Boro fans will be alright here, until they realise they have to queue for 3 hours for a burger".
