I just hope only applicants are considered and no one is "poached". I am pretty confident this will be the way....I certainly hope so.

Step 6 or 5?

Have we had it confirmed it wonβt be as low as step 7 then?
I thought weβd been told it could be 5,6 or 7

I think it just says that we are applying to join at Step 5 or 6. Where the FA and leagues decide to place us is largely out of our hands once the application is in, I would think.

One consideration the FA may have is that we are likely to be the best supported club at level 5,6,or7 and clubs in which league are going to be able to cope with our away support

The Brakes were basically playing on a field with a wire fence around the perimeter, the pitch barrier we have now and portacabins for changing rooms. You have to remember we were starting from scratch again with the facilities.

The point I was addressing was the one of the leagues having to consider our traveling support, not home facilities.

But at least leamington had the land. I am really struggling to think of anything comparable in Nuneaton.
How far is leamington ground away from Leamington Center.
Itβs 3.6 miles from council house to Bedworth.

Itβs a couple of miles, but down a road with no footpaths. If the new ground is built and I remain sceptical, it will be much easier to access, plus be quite near a couple of pubs.

Silly comparison

Leamington is miles from the Town centre. Transport links very poor. You have to drive ,basically.
Same with Hinckley United sorry I mean HLR. Useless transport links and parking horrific. ( Yes I have been there. Regularly). Burbage Messi plays there and trains there.
Regular Bus and occasional trains link Beduff to Nuneaton. We can bear it for a few weeks/months/years. Before going home.
Newport.

I remember the field but all credit to them for their hard work. This memory brings back my biggest bugbear with the new club, being a tenant and not an owner is a problem awaiting in the future regardless of anything.
We were warned, but did it anyway.

Most away games i've been to this season we've taken between 30-100 . All step 6&7 grounds i've been to could cope with that .

Time to get the quill pen out.
I still have my letter on MP headed paper thanking me for my application for a previous managerial vacancy.
Surprisingly, they went for Brendan Phillips over me.
He did ok I suppose.

I think he overspent when we were back in the Conference and should have kept more of his promotion side.
