Or managed his last Boro game anyway.
15th March 2014
Aldershot 2-2 Boro’
Armson and Cowan on the scoresheet putting us 2-0 up before we eventually drew.
Kev left two days later to join Wrexham, with Boro’ sitting 4th in the national league.
The start of the downfall.

The start of the decline was 13-May-12 at Gainsborough :)
Relegation from the Conference was always going to be WHEN and not IF.
Perhaps if KW had stayed it may have been delayed by a season, but was inevitable.
2nd at the time was Alfreton (relegated with Boro the next season).
Also, in that season there were the likes of Macclesfield and Hereford (both who have gone bust since) and also Hyde, Tamworth, Welling, Salisbury.
Football is transient and littered with clubs struggling having over achieved.
Same season -Yeovil were in the Championship.

When the Boro decided to go full time didn’t help either .

I am not 100% convinced by that.
The problem with that decision was Thorn was alone and let every other income source dry up.
When Boro reached the playoffs (just) in 2015/16 the returned loss (for year ending 2016) was £84,000 (and 2017) £60,000
Compare that to the 2022 (just above relegation from SLP) when it was a loss of £160,000.

Boro didn’t make the 2015/16 playoffs.
The Rushall playoff last year was our first playoff since the win at Gainsborough in 2012.

Sorry - for some reason I keep thinking the defeat at Boston was a play off game -/——- in some ways it was, but wasn’t

Docked 3 points (we would have finished 4th) so would have been in playoffs.
Note to self, 'be careful what you wish for'

Best manager we had for many a year, and we haven’t had a better one since.
