So, the two teams relegated from National-North are in the play-off final.
Two teams promoted (Berkhamsted & Long Eaton) have been relegated.
Interesting to see that 2 of the 4 clubs relegated from SLP-Central in the 2022/23 season have been relegated again (Hednesford and Rushden). while another (Bedford) are in the play-off final to return to SLP-Central. Kings Langley finished mid table.
To highlight how transient football is. Rushden only missed out (on GD) of the play-offs in 2021/22 due to a last game defeat to Nuneaton Borough. So, from being close to level 6 then now find themselves at level 9. I wonder if they are now paying for the 21/22 season?

Brackley 1 Boston 2 That's the 7th time Brackley have failed to make it through the National North play offs

Couldn't happen to a nicer outfit.
I generally enjoyed my trips to Boston. I did not enjoy my trips to Brackley.

Hi sauce
i too have some fond memories of Boston
think the first time our paths crossed was the 58/9 season after the non lge scene had been reformed.
we got hammered there 6-1 going on memory
beat them in the return fixture 1-0 night game 4500 turned out
think a little winger called Jackie Stewart got the winner.
with the *C & B end going wild
* thats when it was probably the best home end in the non lge game
happy days ;-)
sadly no more

i remember getting barred from Boston’s club because I hadn’t kept the tiny ticket stub handed over at the turnstile. Ended up sitting in the car park with a Vimto and bag of crisps.

I think I went to Boston twice.
Last one being the playoff position playoff.
The first one tarred my view of Boston. The actions of Evans and then asking the chairman for a voucher as game ended at half time (I read their ground rules at the ground) only to be told “you are from Nuneaton; what would you know”.
The arse was later banned for life from being involved with football.
How the former (banned for two years) has made a career in football is beyond me.
They cheated their way to the FL and (at the time) most supporters saw no problem with it.

Didn't enjoy my trips to Solihull either

Moor Green was better-had my first ever cheesy chips there.
What a shame that FC Car Park will have to wait another year.
Hurts, going out on pens, doesn't it?

I would like to have seen Solihull promoted. The reaction of B;ham fans knowing Solihull were a promotion/relegation away. As it is, the gap is the same as Boro were to Coventry once.
Reminds me when reality hit my sister in law. Manchester City vs Macclesfield in a league game........what happened to those two clubs :)(

Finished 0-1
King Kev had a pretty good play off record at the Boro winning 3 out of 4
Since leaving he's lost 6 out of 6 .

Dave Staff is head coach at Harborough
