Not great in fact we were fortunate not to get beat despite dominating possession . After last week's better attacking showing at Coleville back to looking toothless in attack .

Yep agree with all of that.... Front two first half were useless and one of them who has signed and played in a few games is carrying far to much weight for my liking. Still eatly days Rome was not built in a day as the saying goes.

To be fair it was the first disappointing showing amongst our pre season programme and it was very much a mix & match side both halves with a number of players who will probably be in our starting eleven not present . What concerned me was the fitness levels of some of our players . We're deep into pre season now and a number of our lads looked nowhere near ready for the real stuff from a fitness point of view . Bolehall are a level below us yet looked the fitter side . We also have a number of players who are carrying a lot of excess weight and that ain't going to magically sort in the next two weeks .

Players playing for peanuts at this level are probably not going to have the same dedication to fitness that players we were used to watching did, probably just one of the many things we are going to have to get used to

Most blokes under 40 say, even playing amateur sport, are in reasonable shape and level of fitness though.

Basic expectation. No-one should be getting paid, even peanuts, if they aren’t fit enough to hack a game. IMO

one poor performance in the entire pre season , i watched six of those last season

a lot of changes along with a whole host of trialists and the longest grass i've ever seen on a football pitch , made pauls land look like a putting green

heartened by our pre season and what lies ahead
