Starting XI

Assuming no injuries or unavailability what is next Saturday’s starting XI likely to be? And what formation?

Side note————
Seems to me the tactic used in pre season is not dissimilar to another club I used to follow “the Boro”. They had a manager called Jimmy, he used to stock pile players like it was tissue in Covid. Then release them.
Seems naughty. But I like it

Can't see it being much different to the starting eleven yesterday .
Pegg ( probably hasn't played enough ) Somel is unlucky as he's played well but you can only pick 11 . Baker is not always available due to his job and isn't yet fully fit . Curtlin has done really well but missed the wrong week of pre season or he may have been in . The rest are young lads and are probably here to provide cover and learn .
The last trialist is a big forward formerly with Bromsgrove & Alvechurch . He's been with us all pre season and i'll be surprised if he doesn't sign as he's a different option to others .

One of our Keepers - Joe Gilbert has quit football for now - family reasons. Was second choice for me anyway.

No surprise. Not played since Bache signed.

Never rated him anyway. Better keeper has stayed me thinks and I like the look of Bache.

More importantly I hope the family stuff he needs to deal with is nothing too challenging or serious and alls okay.
Family > football.

He was the 41 goals in 46 games for Hinckley striker. Never seemed to do it for Boro for some reason.

Missed most of last season with injury, must have been bad and they released him at the end of last season, he was probably never fully fit enough for us I guess.

I wish the club would not use the term “mutual consent” unless the player is contracted and I hope non are.
Non contract agreements can be ended by either side with 7 days notice during the season (which has not started)

There can be mutual consent without a contract.
I'm self emplyed all non contract and some work was definitly ended by mutual consent, we just did not get on with each other.

Well that’s that.
Let’s not get upset by words being used by young media team volunteers.
Bit petty really. They probably see the big boys use the same terms and think it looks cool.
They use it in FIFA too. 🤪
