I knew we would get some adverse comments on here if we didn’t make a good start to the season , but the Boro have made a brilliant start , and what do we get on here, crap , shite , same old same old , I honestly believe there’s certain people on here who would love to see the Boro go to the wall , except the 500 plus people of course who were at Bedworth for our first game , what will be on here when we loose and we will I dread to think, , but I’ve got a good idea.

I hoped I gave a succinct explanation to why I have (as yet) not attended or felt any urge to attend.
In summary - I have fallen out of love with football generally. JG (along with covid) has broken my addition to NBFC. The games I attended last season more as "a duty" than anything.
To think I went to 80% of the gates during the relegation season to 0% now!!!!!! Until 2 seasons ago I had a season ticket for all but one season (Middlesbrough season) since I was 18!!!!!
I didn't enjoy watching England and seldom watch other games on TV.
I have nothing for praise for the efforts made by those who set it up, and hope it succeeds.
My apathy may change if/when I attend a game (probably and evening one).
Finally - Many on here (and Facebook) were anti this new setup and put their support behind H&H despite the shambolic open-evening and loads of hollow/impossible promises. The perceived support at that even seem high.

Not sure if it’s any more than a couple of the usual suspects. The attendance figures are on an upward spiral and the signs are good with healthy green shoots. I think that the team has weaknesses and may not actually win the league but I will not complain if they don’t. I just want to see a continuance of the present efforts. On and off the pitch.
We were warned, but did it anyway.

As you say they should have been at The Oval, it was such a joyous occasion where I saw a new Nuneaton Town club starting out on its journey into the future.
It was fantastic to see more than 500 fans there who were so happy to watch a club which is being run in an extremely transparent way and basing its costings on very realistic incomings with no lack of ambition.
I saw a good few people that I had lost touch with and I can tell the disingenuous posters that tainted the forum on Saturday evening that nobody I spoke to at the Oval were at all perturbed by starting again at such a low level in fact quite the opposite because they were so happy and grateful to have a club to cheer on again.

I have been saying the same for number years. Certain individuals who post on this forum hate it when Boro do well. If Boro win the league by 10 points they will be posting that they should have won it by 11points. Best thing is ignore them, if no one posts back they will soon get fed up.

The thing that's struck me is the amount of faces who had stopped supporting the club who have appeared at the games and seem to be enjoying the way the club is now being run and the football hasn't been too bad at all . The best thing about the football at this level is clubs are looking to outscore each other rather than out defend which is often the case in the upper levels of non league . The odd comedy moment adds to the fun imo .

Having seen the treasurers report, hearing the positivity, and hearing off people about the general vibe around the club, once the cricket season ends (21 sept) I will begin to attend sometimes. So hopefully Bridgnorth 28 Sept then take it from there.
I want to see us do well, and will get cricket out the way then see how much I enjoy ‘BoroTown’ from there on.

This weekend could tell us a lot . The teams we've played so far are probably the two worst teams in the division and a third who will be in the lower reaches . The two home games Saturday & Tuesday are against sides who will be aiming for promotion .
