See where town could go yourselves folks.
The most realistic option?
Liberty way 🤔🤔

And of course the NPPF and the need to consult development plans.

You’d be better off studying the emerging plan:
https://www.nuneatonandbedworth.gov.uk/downloads/file/1095/cd1-publication-version-of-the-borough-plan-review-2021-2039-
It’s with the Planning Inspectorate and likely to be approved by December.
The most likely sites are Council owned sites which they would be willing to lease to relief themselves of maintenance. There are a few including new ones emerging now. But this would require serious work and business plans etc

Do I have to? I was a planning consultant for 30+ years and thought I'd given up looking at Local Plans! 🙄

You can tell everyone what chance town have of building a new ground in Nuneaton related to the development plan then 70's? Loo!omg at the development plan myself I see very, very few sites that wouldn't be contentious or very expensive to develop. Boro were given sites by the council 30 odd years ago and all fell at planning hurdles- I don't see any others bar a return to LW. Your expertise 70s may however open up possibilities .

I don’t think AT would want FC anywhere near LW so I doubt he works for them.
They are too busy trying to give LW to the Nuns who are proving they are more than capable of looking a gift horse in the mouth!

What's in hand then and do town have the cash to build a new ground in Nuneaton?. .Why did it fail 20 odd years ago when sites all offered by the council as suitable all fell through planning hurdles?

It failed because the council turned up to open meetings with a refusal that had been written prior to hearing any discussions . I will always remember Harvey gloating when he said we had no chance of going to the jubilee ! And of course you can’t go to the Bermuda site due to chemicals in the groundexactly where all the car sales places are now
