Is it still a no go back there or are discussions going on. I don’t know anything my self (heard rumours). Just curious.

I've passed it several times a day, every day over the last two weeks. Today it was on the bus , as I was heading for Nuneaton Beer Festival at The Heritage Centre.
Because I was sitting in an elevated position-it looked to me as if the pitch was intact and the grass had been mown.
Apologies if I got that wrong?

You are right, the Rugby club mowed it as one of of their officials/supporters wanted the club to use the pitch so he arranged it. The club turned down the offer from the landowner though.
The portakabins on the football side have all been trashed inside, so can't be used by anyone at the moment.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a suspicious fire 🤔

Yes, the guy who arranged the mowing said he needed the portakabins demolishing as they attracted business rates/council tax.
Guess the landowner is having to pay that -what a shame!

Something along the lines of without the infrastructure the ground is free from rates ect as a sporting facility . With the infrastructure it becomes a business and libel to rates ect .
Hopefully there's someone who can explain the finer points better than me .
