Here’s hoping that the Boro lads are not distracted.

As one door closes, another one opens.

Brenton is his real name but he's known in football circles as Brendan.
He's happy to answer to either.
What a player & what a line-up on Saturday, 3 of my Boro heroes

Not so sure about Kernick. He delivered in 66-67 but failed to follow it up and wasted a lot of money on players who didn’t deliver. I would out Wilkin above Kernick.

Given what we still see and hear at football in 2024 what a brilliant and applaudable (and probably brave) decision the board made to employ him as manager πŸ‘πŸΏ πŸ‘πŸΏ in 199?

I'm obviously younger, but Ian Muir, Barry Williams and Dave Crowley trio was great too.

Not forgetting a fully fit Vincent and Turpie ( although we hadn’t signed Phillips then).

We signed Brendan in 76 so he played with those two, I take your point though both had accidents which affected their careers

Yes I agree. But Brendan only played with the not fully fit Vincent and Turpie. What a team that would have been but for their accidents.

You are right of course, those two fully fit playing in front of Phillips, Lewis and Fleet and we may have won the league

I played against him once.

He
seemed quite comfortable with Brendan then.
