My personal preference would be to call the game off.

Having just been out the wind will make a mockery of the game of football and will hit attendance with only the die-hards turning up.

Disappointing result given opposition and that most other matches were postponed. Did the windy/wet conditions play a part?

Hence a score draw.

Although I agree that the weather did affect the overall quality of the game. Two points dropped "at home" (lol) is disappointing. I have to be brutally honest and say that Chelmsley at times seemed to want it a bit more after they scored. They took the lead in comical circumstances and it seemed to shock them into realising that they could perhaps make a game of it.

They hardly had time to think about taking the lead before Boro equalised but I felt that holding us as they did gave them more confidence.

Boro huffed and puffed bravely but for me they spent a bit too much time knocking it back rather than sideways or forwards. Always a risky thing to do when gale force wind is a 12th man.

Pod is spot on. It was bloody freezing, wherever one stood.

I think many of us have actually played in those conditions and is a shitter. Wet, cold and very frustrating. Don't agree that it should have been called off btw. Why?

Same for both teams....

Att:279: medal for everyone attending. Diehard AND Hard core indeed.

Games are called off because “pitch unplayable”

Whist football should be played on the pitch the ball does go above head height (with some managers 😜more than others) so why not “air not playable”.
Football is also supposed to be an enjoyable game.

Some awful play today. Way too many hit and hope diagonal balls, but also poor ground passing.
Amazed at the substitutions. Harrison and Spruce were two of our best players.
When they went off I couldn’t see us scoring 🙁

Probably the worst performance iv seen this season. Was it the weather ? The conditions ? ..... Certainly wasn't the opposition ( very poor ). These are the games that can define the season.

Perhaps it's just me being an old codger but Chumley seemed very young? Would that have any bearing on it?

They defended for their lives successfully and were gifted a comical goal totally against the run of play during the whole game. Horrible day for playing football. But having said all that we still had enough chances especially in the first half to have got the win. Not happy so two points dropped which should have been in the bag. Could cost us the title come the end of the season.

Absentee supporters are the ones that need to encouraged to return.

I agree they should not comment on the actual games (never noticed they ever do), but they may have other views that rightly (or wrongly) can be expressed.

I am such an "absentee supporter". I have no issue with what the new club are doing and/or trying to achieve; others may not have the same view.
Everyone who posts on here (or Boro Chat) want the best for Nuneaton Town/Borough football club.

Similarly; should those who were originally adamant against this version of club be criticised for now going?....... NO.

I feel totally compelled to reply to your latest post having ignored your last demeaning one referred at me as I normally rise above things like that. Bickering gets you nowhere.

Rest assured I am not a armchair supporter infact a season ticket holder for many a season and have attended every home games this season. I have supported this club in its many guises and reincarnations for over 40 years now through thick and thin and was there Saturday and also think I am also entitled to my opinion. After all is that not what forums are all about.

When i arrived i was pleased it was on, five minutes after kick off i wish it wasnt. The conditions were terrible. Entertainment value, it was just awful. To be honest the conditions seems to suit Chelmsey better. Taking weather out of it, Borough looked poor, alot poor decision making through out. Too many i think didnt fancy it and weren't going full throttle. Best part of the game was the final whistle.
