Sensational goal from M.o.M. Yessen. Lutterworth a much improved side on the one we thrashed at their place. They kept at it and gave us a real game. Fair play to them.
They showed a lot of courage and determination and matched us for most of the game even after having to put an outfield player in goal. I wouldn't have begrudged them a point tbh but glad we got all three.
I thought we were somewhere between competent and adequate. That second goal just would not come.
A few of our players were a little off the pace perhaps, but not enough to justify the moaning first half, from the couple who kept whining about Hendrie. I had to move away from them. Hoped we'd left that sort of moaning behind at MP and LW but no..some people are just never happy, it seems.
Onwards and upwards. It's three points and the fog seems to have gone. I'll take that.

Heather St Johns lost 0-1 to Bridgnorth. Coton Green @ Leicester St Andrews was abandoned. Kirby Muxloe won 1-0 at Saffron. Our home and away games v Coton Green and Kirby Muxloe are looking critical. Not quite six pointers, more like mustn’t losers.

Exactly. I guess opponents are going to throw absolutely everything at us from now on. Lutterworth did. But we still rode it out and weathered the storm.

Thought the defence was excellent when needed today . Despite the odd poor goal they are a strong unit .

Greg and I were discussing this, second half.
Players you really would not want to come up against . Defensively, both of those, from a sheer physical side and from their reading of opponents' forward moves.
Big lads but mobile and quite savvy.

We still had enough chances to finish them off. The lad who scored needs to be pushed forward he deserved a hat trick.

I thought he was outstanding. Nifty footwork. Challenging when he lost the ball and recovering it. Excellent finish.
Looked slight but caused them problems throughout.

I loved how their bench all rose up as one claiming it was in. They were only about 70 yards away !
