Great performance from Boro. KM should concentrate on playing football instead of all the moaning and dirty stuff.

An exciting 104 minutes
Views: 545
Boro cruising at 3--0, owing to KM's frankly silly determination to wind everybody up first half. ( This seems to be becoming a pattern: several opponents come bristling with attitude and prepared to mix it verbally and wind people up. All it seems to achieve is to lose sight of what they should really be doing which is trying to win the game).
Once they started playing football rather than Hamlet, second half they looked quite useful. Got it back to 2-3 and Boro' seemed to be rocking a little approaching 90m. It felt as if KM might snatch an equaliser.
Thanks to the referee's determination to keep play going on up to 5pm however, Boro' finally restored their three goal lead as time ticked on.
Entertaining and good value for money. As Pod noted, the referee seemed to lose control at times-not the best one we've seen this season.
Danico and Baker very good. Top marks to our boys for ignoring a lot of the niggles and provocation and concentrating instead on winning the game. Very effective use of subs. too.

Will go along with most of that US. Best first half performance of the season easily and KM’s loss of control was costly to them. Their numbers 8 and 9 were in fact downright dirty and lucky to stay on. Both knew what they doing throughout and I’ll bet the Boro recipients of their kicks will be sore too. Their manager and his assistant also thought that they were Pep and Arteta with their histrionics.
Overall though,I thought that when Borough were three up and in control then we should have been more savvy with more of the same but we got dragged down into a street fight scenario and they were better than us at that. But at the end of night we had the three points and the return should be interesting.

Boro skipper thought the referee was "awful." (And I thought it was just me).
Another thing I like about this Boro squad is that when the silly stuff starts on field, they tend ( unlike some of our previous teams/squads) not to react over dramatically or to prefer to step away from it rather than get too involved. That must be very frustrating to teams who have clearly come along to "mix it," presumably hoping to provoke their opponents into making "mistakes."
Their confrontational attitude misfired and resulted only in them being three down half time. When they switched their attention to playing football they were a decent side. Their second goal was a belter and I quite liked their centre half (number 5 in old money) too.

Let's not get too carried away here ( but I'm am ) ....
I wonder if Aco and Dodds are looking at players from other teams for next season?
On paper this squad is looking good enough to step up a league ( as shown against Litchfield ) but with one or two additions i think .
13 games to go, 7 at home, still all to play for .

Think our advantage over other teams is not only the quality on the pitch but also on the bench, yesterday we were able to bring on Mullan, Baker , Spruce, other teams can't bring on that quality of player

Easily the best team we've faced this season.
First half and 3-0 up you'd of thought we've got this in the bag.
Second half they had a go ... much the better team......
back at 3-2 and thinking this is going for a draw ..... then a mad last 5 minutes and we restore the 3 goal lead.
For the neutral you couldn't ask for a better game ....

Not the first time we have switched off for a period in second half of games but we do always seem to finish strongly at the end

Agree .
First half , taking the account the opposition was probably our best performance of the season .
Second half they were probably the best team we've played this season .
Lads hung in there and battled for everything then an incredible last few minutes .
I'd say the highest quality game we've been involved in this season .
Danico Johnson what a performance he was awesome .

I love the way he just saunters about casually, looking all innocent, instilling complacency in the opposition. Then he suddenly turns on the turbo to do something remarkable with both feet.

Yes I think so ....
when we were 3-0 didn't do them justic i think ....just we were playing our best football of the season ..... Our passing, and moving the ball forward at pace at times was perfect.
Second half ( apart from last 5 minutes ) different story, they came out to put us under pressure and it worked back to 3-2.
Definitely a game of 2 halves apart from last 5 minutes

Love the way the gobby number 4 flicked the ball past his own keeper with his head for Carsleys goal then got sin binned for complaining.

An interesting and different insight from a neutral.
Over the top celebrations for that 4th goal. :)...but it came as quite a relief I suppose.
