The latest maths and stats...
Nuneaton Town now guaranteed at least 11th, so a top half finish.
24 more points maximum from the final 10 games guarantees the title (8 wins, or 7 wins and 3 draws). 15 points or 5 wins maximum guarantees a play off place.
A win on Wednesday puts Nuneaton THIRTEEN clear at the top, with Heather not in action until Saturday, but a loss would reduce it to nine.
Nuneaton need 7 goals to reach 100 league goals this season (93), we have already scored 109 including all competitions (6 in the league cup, 10 in the Midweek Floodlit Cup, Declan Somel scored the 100th at Paget Rangers last weekend).
Since losing at Ingles on 2nd November, Nuneaton are unbeaten in normal time in 16 games (discluding the penalty shootout loss to Lichfield City)
Since drawing at home to Chelmsley Town on 7th December, Nuneaton have won ten games on the bounce, nine of those in the league.
What a season!

Ten games left split equally home and away .
A tricky run in with five of the ten against other sides who will have promotion aspirations , three away .
Only one against a relegation threatened side .
After this week our last three away trips are all to Leicester .

This week looks massive . Cradley and Coton have the 2nd & 3rd best home records in the league after ourselves . If we can get through this week without any real damage done it really would need some collapse .

I've missed quite a few games due to family and work commitments so far BUT:

When I have attended I have seen 47 goals scored by Boro' this season. Some of them of outstanding quality both in build up and finishing. This is looking like an all time best for me, assuming that the various goal machines in our squad do not dry up or get injured before the final run in.

I have seen nine conceded. Single figures. Amazing.

I have only seen us lose once at home, to Heeeeeever.

It's looking like, if this continues, it may be the best season ever for me in terms of entertainment.

Yes yes yes I get all the comments about levels, leagues, opposition , artificial pitches, new club etc etc etc. but frankly I don't give a s***.

It's been a long long time since I've looked forward to Boro's next game(s) quite so much. I believe we are seven goals off the magic ton in goals for column?

Stattoes-when was the last time this happened?

The 98/99 season, under Brendan, when we won the Southern Premier, with the likes of Mally (early season), Anton, Ian Muir, Andy Kiwomya, Shaun Wray, Super Bez etc- when we entertained for fun, we scored 91 league goals

The 95/96 season, also under Brendan, when we won the Southern Midlands, with the likes of Rob Straw, Ian Drewitt and Simmo, I thought we scored for fun, but we got 82 goals (was only fourth highest in the league)

In 09/10, in the Southern Premier, under KW, when we played an attacking 352 with Oddy and Fozzy as wing backs, Moore and Dillon up top with Jimmy Armson in behind, we came runners up to Farnborough and scored 90 league goals. That was a fun season.

so you're right I'd guess, this season will triumph all in terms of goals scored!

89/90 was fun too, Les Green came in with Boro at the wrong end of the table and charged up the league, just missing out on promotion

enjoy sauce.
all the regulars who have stood by the club deserve only the best.
as for the best ever
i find it very hard to beat the Graham Carr era.
the DK era was a contender as was Brendons stint
cant really fault Kevs stint, more so for results than entertainment.
as ever its all subjective
again S, if your enjoying it then thats all that matters UTB.

ps 1958 till the early 60s had some memorable entertaining moments too.

IMO January onwards from the 1994/95 season will never be bettered.

I remember telling my dad that surely there had to be an investigation as Boro so much better than every other club :)

For results and twice finishing second in the top tier of non league football then GC sides are up there, for sheer entertainment and style of football then BP sides are in the reckoning too, KW achieving multiple promotions has to be mentioned, DK also had a great team and achieved the cup run which will never be forgotten, you take your pick as a fan.

Actually it was Richard Dixey who was manager at the end of the second occasion. It was only on the last day of the season that we claimed second spot after a run of wins under Dixey.

Is this team/set up/club better than that of the start of the I.N eara ???????
Results probably about the same but the fact that this set up started from nothing IMO makes it more of an achievement than anything in the last 20 years.
Of course early days and a lot lays ahead.

On the pitch no point comparing. We are at the lowest point we’ve ever been.

Huge congratulations are due to everybody we even have a Club at all! So this season we are thankful but must go up given the size of our town and support.

Off the pitch it’s chalk and cheese with the Neale era. We have a proper Chairman, proper Secretary, proper Treasurer. Fans on the Board. The accounts are published and the Club transparent and accountable. We’ve also budgeted very sensibly. And we haven’t alienated the Club we groundshare with for no reason whatsoever other than hubris and greed. If ever there was a lesson for treating people on the way up because you will meet them on the way down it was the Neale era.

of course the club is at step one its a WELL DONE to all for even having a club, let alone putting a team out too.
we are here AGAIN for one reason only... total gross mismanagement yet AGAIN
so many rank BAD decisions in the past.
even circa 1938 pre 2nd world war... i believe went full time....bang
im sure the lads at the heritage centre who know the history will confirm that
how far can we go with no ground that is the 65 000 dollar question
i dont know or profess to.
good luck to all concerned

well the people running the club along side its steering group have proved more than capable up to press

judge us on our actions and not OTHERS past failures , the club is night and day from what went before and will remain so simply due to how the club is actually structured ...no ifs no buts

i am sure we have further challenges to overcome , but those challenges will be laid bear to the fan base .

Again i would love to invite you a game as our guest when you have a few hours to spare on a saturday afternoon ....

Our club is different now , you the fans are the centre of that

UTT

ps. thanks for the kind invite i will keep it in mind.
pps btw i still support the 200 club.

Think we'll be ok for next season, if we then end up at same level as Bedworth in a couple of years (hopefully) things might get tricky.

Note to self, 'be careful what you wish for'

Agree . I think realistically playing outside the town with no ground of our own step 4 . Playing back in town surviving just on what we generate step 3 . Anything beyond that will probably need outside funding and that's where it gets tricky . No need to worry about that for a while yet .
