I'd settle for two points out of the next two away games. BUT: the way the team are playing at the moment..I'd hope for a few more.
They are certainly two massive games. But we've built such a strong foundation so far.

One of the first times this season i've had any pre match nerves . Most games this season we only have to be about 60% - 70% and that's enough for the points . Tonight i think we need to be 100% on it .
Agree with US , i'd take a point from each of these games this week .

I don't think we need to be afraid of anyone in this league ....
Play our own game and let worry about us.

That's absolutely right LoTM.
However, some of the erm..more "mature" Boro fans will recall times when all seemed to be going well and then (however good the side or the set up (or both) was, sometimes other factors intervened . Or, as Blackadder once put it "The Devil shits on my tablecloth."
Hopefully not tonight. The whole of Midland Div 1 will probably be yearning for a Coton triumph. So let's disappoint them.
It's a fingers crossed: lucky pants and a candle lit in the porch kind of night.

What a fantastic performance against a tough uncompromising side. Reminded me of Bilston away in that we had to dig in and battle and gradually work our way into the game before stepping up later on with 2 well worked goals. All of the players were superb but a special shout out to our goal scorers Dec and Cody who were immense in midfield. Another great Boro following (200+ ) in an attendance of 271

Same thoughts here too about the Bilston away game. Admired last night how we stuck to the task, weren’t intimidated and ground out a win. Not pretty to watch but who cares at this sharp end of the season ? On to Cradley now.
The King is dead. Long live The King.

really would take a f**k up of huge proportions not to be promoted now.
Roll on next season. Hoping we are in the Staffordshire etc league rather than the Northamptonshire etc one!

fwiw i think you would find it hard to find a bookie who wud lay you odds.
even if you could the odds would imo be prohibitive.

Coton started off strongly and missed a golden early chance to take the lead . As the half went along Boro worked there way into the game and by half time it was just about equal . Second half boro where superb and Coton were reduced to hanging on for a draw before finally buckling under the boro pressure . Boro were strong all over the pitch but fully agree with Wilkinf Dec and Cody were top quality in the centre of midfield first winning the battle with a highly physical home side before outplaying them . Top performance .

I actually love how much you're enjoying it and into it, AA.
In the 00's and early-mid 10's when I was a pretty much home and awayer ever present, you were also ALWAYS present and always one of the most balanced and logical posters on here.
Even through the rough times, you stuck with it religiously.
It's 'easy' for the kids and those directly involved in the club to be totally on board, but not so much those who have been 'stung' such as yourself.
It was sad to see you become disillusioned and unsure if you'd follow the 'new' club, so the fact you're one of those back to it religiously and enjoying it makes me pleased :)

Had become very disillusioned even before they decided not to pay the rent , it was pure habit / loyalty that kept me going . Decide to give it a go see how things went and i've enjoyed every moment so far ( well maybe not Ingles away ) and i certainly don't think im alone . We have a team who give it 100% all the time and seem to be loving playing for the club . People who are running the club properly and it just feels like it's our club and everyone's pulling in the same direction , basically what's best for the club . VS used to talk about that elusive feel good factor , well that what we've got and you can feel it everytime you turn up for a game home or away . So yes i am on board .

I really must come to a game.
I used to talk about following football/boro as a habbit. JG started the process of me kicking the habit and the closure sealed my "recovery".
I suppose it may be the same as being an alcoholic...... once an alcoholic always an alcoholic but all it takes is one drink.
Sad thing..... I am really not missing it.

Pun intended 😁

Same here - all going well and that's great and to be applauded but we've been here before.
Blue and white snakes and ladders board - needs more ladders and less snakes. Perhaps someone can offer a detailed argument to try and persuade me to come back. One thing that is impressive is the transparency. Enjoyed it for years but the JG era was soul destroying.

Not saying it's going to be plain sailing for ever more there will be setbacks & problems to overcome , let's face it we ain't got a ground and that's a pretty big problem but can only judge on how things currently are and there pretty good , and there seem to be 400-500 many who have been through everything we have who seem to agree .

I wouldn't come back anyway due to the fact idiots like you refused to fight for the club you claimed you loved and turned a blind eye to the hubris and folly of those who killed it. 45 years support, 4th generation Boro fan and helped the co-op to procure a disabled stand for nowt and then slagged off and lambasted for opposing the regime's that drove Boro out of town and into parks football yet again. You're just one of several who let the club die.

No one who paid their money at the turnstiles had any real influence to "fight for the club".
The changes Neale/Brown, Thorn, Smurfwaite, Hawkins & Ginelley appeared to be the only option at the time.
What disappointed me was how many just lapped up what they said (add DA Capital** and H&H to that list).*
Most if all wanted the team to be successful (and get the plaudits) without much consideration to THE CLUB. With the last 2 of the list I don't think their ownership made 1 jot of difference to THE CLUB, other than delay the inevitable. THE CLUB was a status symbol/pay thing to them.
What we have now is actual transparency where THE CLUB is the important thing whilst very important, success on the field is secondary. I suspect the majority (it will never be 100%) will accept mediocracy on the field as they know THE CLUB is being run for the future and not the now.
* It wasn't if the clues were not there to be seen.

Time for me to hit the "ignore" button again, as a simple celebration turns into abuse again. . What a very useful function that is.
A shame, as I was quite enjoying a little gloat ,but this thread has once again been hijacked,
Simple question: if people "don't care" so much, why not f*ck off somewhere else and leave the rest of us to enjoy what we KNOW we have seen? If someone doesn't care-why put so much time and effort into explaining to us how wrong we all are?
There's always The Griff ffs. They still play in Nuneaton.
