Barwell lost 2-3 at home to fellow strugglers Bromsgrove tonight.
With Richards(30), Nirenoid(33), Chambers(34), Waite(30) and Rowe-Turner(35) all starting (plus Hickey(28))
Lita(40) & Osboune(37) on the bench and AD, JG and GH running the show.
How have Tamworth done since AD left them ;)
If things had not gone pear shaped and "the messiah" had not stood down I really would not expect much better. I have seen a text where he was expecting/hoping Barwell to compete with the big-boys this season.
The level may be lower, but the paying public are enjoying football again (winning well certainly helps).

Bedford Town may well make some significant upwards progress soon. They're merging with Real Bedford (level below) who have some serious investment.
Good effort from Harborough Town, by the way.

I heard something about Telford finances arent looking great. Been forced to cut player budget with four players leaving in one week. Apparently they desperately need promotion back to the national league north. Longer there away attendances will fall. They went from getting nearly 1,600 a week to just over 1,000 a game, thats some gap in terms of support.

Some bloke called Steeton at Smelford , scoring for fun.
However, I follow a club who have scored 104 goals in the league so far. And it's still only February.

His wages won't be cheap, he was on alot at Boro. From what i gather wage bill is quite high at Telford. Mentioned somewhere if they failed to get promotion this season a number of players will have to either take a huge wage cut or look for another club... sounds familar.

i think we all tend to forget what a cut throat industry football is.
i think back ( ok and yes i know )
take Worcester City as one prime example
used to be one of the giants on the non league scene
again repeating myself circa 1958 beat Liverpool 2-0 FA cup
who were an average 2nd div team enter Bill Shankley . . .
where are Worcester now ??? no ground the last i heard
again its a cut throat industry
in a nut shell you just never know wots around that football corner.
bigger clubs than us have come a cropper
ok maybe we hammer them on comebacks from the dead
as were far more experienced
:-)

Worcester are at step 4 (two leagues above us), in the playoff spots going for promotion to Step 3( the league we were in before going bust)
https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/northern-premier-league-midlands-division
way behind the leaders, Quorn.
They are, I believe, about to move in with Worcester Rugby Club by the M5.

They are moving to Sixways but at the expense of Worcester Raiders who have been forced out because they can't afford the rent the Sixways owners are asking now

Sixways Stadium from next season think they've signed a deal for five or six years. Ambitious move which could be a good one.

I can't decide if you're being sarcastic or not?
But surely we are allowed, on a public messageboard, to BOTH appreciate how well the CURRENT club is doing, and look back with fond memories on some BRILLIANT players who have represented us over the years?
I saw an article about Darren Bullock the other day. Hero of mine in my childhood. Am I supposed to forget he ever played for us and never mention him, Elliott Whitehouse, Tony Simpson, Dave Crowley, Andy Brown again? Is Andy Brown no longer Jesus? Did Eddy Nisevic not slam home the winner v Chippenham?
So many years of imagining things happening, shame ;)

I have read and re-read my post time and time again but cannot for the life of me see where I have been sarcastic. Nor can I see where I have discouraged discussion on ex players. Hence my comment about Stenson-who does tend to get overlooked on here when we review how our ex players are getting on.
(Notice use of word "our"?)
Roos Ironside and Cyrus Christie (and I bet many others) are out there too somewhere ,still playing.
I do worry a little bit sometimes about the dangers of forgetting the progress the current set up are making. I would not like it to be overlooked so I sometimes comment upon it.
If you want me to withdraw my post pm me and I will do so if it causes offence .

Far from offended.
Just don't think reminiscing means we forget how well the current set up are doing.
I'm amazed and impressed with the progress the current club is making and the likes of Lee Hayward, Mark Lacrouts, Darren Acton et al have my utmost respect and I look forward to being at The Oval in 10 days or so time.
I enjoyed watching Joe Ironside. Both him and Stenson were good old fashioned target men with a good trick or two in them too.
Ironside and Styche away at FCUM in a 5-1 trophy win were unplayable alongside Jordan Nicholson.
The goal from the weekend that won goal of the weekend on Midlands today was a top, top move and finish.
Both can be discussed :) Doesn't take anything away from the progress the current version is making at all.

The fans are the Club. It’s their shared experience that matters not the different owners and players who have played over the years. The name of the club does not matter it’s the collective memories of the fans.

Yes, because having a team featuring Osborne, Lita, Rowe-Turner and McManus is lacking experience!!!!!!!

I don't hate Ginnelly or dislike Barwell, in fact had a soft spot for them for years. However know doubt JG had a lot to answer for the demise of Nuneaton Borough. For a while things seemed to going in the right direction at one point, but seemed like decided to take a huge gamble at one point to get ourselves promoted and it cost the club big time when we failed. I think it's safe to say when he was owner, chairman and manager it wasn't 'Nuneaton Borough FC' at times it was 'Jim Ginnelly FC' the same will happen to Barwell in time similar to his previous spell or wherever he goes.
He also tends to use the same players where ever he goes, interesting question would you ever welcome Jim Ginnelly down to NTFC purely as spectator or would you consider him band? I've noticed Jason Dean keeps away.

I loath him, but then have I personal issues going back to the 70's with his rels.
No problem with Barwell FC, been to see them loads as they are local to me, wont be going back until he's gone though.

He is bringing money into the club. Just got a new ground sponsorship with his mate at Crown Skips.
If you include Brady Hickey there were 9 ex Boro players in Saturday’s squad.
Osbourne
Lita
Rowe-Turner
Nirennold
Mancinelli
Chambers
Waite
Richards.
Hickey
It would have been 10 but McManus gone to Coalville.

It’s in the past and that’s correct but Boro never learn from the past- they simply repeat the mistakes. That’s why they have gone tits up 3 times in the last 40 years.
Those who fail to learn from their history are doomed to repeat it.
Everything the new club is doing now is commendable and that’s how it should be. The failures of the past should never be allowed to happen again and understanding what went wrong is paramount.
The biggest issue with Boros failure was the ground issue from Manor park to Liberty way - JG cared but was out of his depth and indulged in Hubris. He needed help but decided his way was the only way. It was his downfall.
