Back to reality on Saturday.

Lovely wallowing over all the nostalgia in other threads elsewhere about our ex-players* BUT:
Actually, bringing us all back down to earth I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that we have a "HOME" match this Saturday. We are top of the League, playing lovely stuff and there's a chance we might top the 100 total in the goals for column at some stage. I've actually been given a free ticket to watch Coventry v Preston at the CBS.
Guess where I'll be? Yes. At The Oval. It would be nice to see a few of you there. Come up and say hello.
I bumped into Dave Hodges in NUNEATON on Monday. We had a lovely chat about all things Boro. I was wearing a Boro' Bronx hat and he had a Town one on but we'll let that go for now. Both agreed that we are loving the football: the commitment: the honesty: and the general vibe at the moment.
* Actually I don't give a shit. That's all under the bridge now. Not remotely interested, Ta.

I second all of that. Loving the football for the first time in a long time since our reform and the ways it is being run. And refuse to keep looking back.Positivity rules here now
Lets turn up on mass tomorrow help the club after all this team deserves it. "Up the Boro ".

Recent results have put us very much in pole position but with Heather hanging on we can't afford to let up against sides like Sutton . Despite a disappointing result in the week , Sutton are one of the leagues form sides and still have an outside chance of the playoffs . We need to make sure we're on it .

I think that we were lucky, for once, against Sutton away. They have been,I reckon, the only team this season to have run us ragged and been superior throughout. But that was then and not now. We have improved immensely since so I am hoping that we can continue this great winning run tomorrow. Why should we now fear anyone ?

From Memory we had a dodgy defence then and no genuine left back.
But we took the chance superbly at the end!

Neither Carsely or Perkins had yet joined the club . The defense included Alfie Birta who didn't look upto the level and has since moved on and Edwards playing on the wrong side of the pitch for him . The side as a whole had been thrown together in a few weeks and was still very much a work in progress .

Cradley v Coton Green is off so a chance to put more points and so pressure on sides behind us .
