And I know a few diehards won't like me saying this but :
we could not have done this without you.
So applause to Beduff for their hospitality.

Absolutely spot on.
Quite how much the game I attended recently felt exactly like a home game speaks wonders for their hospitality.
We’ve helped them income wise, they’ve helped us big time

Now there's a few words no one would of said 12 months ago....
Yep absolutely delighted for everyone involved.
It's not just the promotion, it's the fact that we started from nothing, that's what makes it even more special.
To think at the start of the season I wasn't even interested in going, turned out to be one of the most entertaining, enjoyable and welcoming season ever.

I’ve really enjoyed this season!
Many congratulations to all involved in our Club.
I still think the big goal is to get back to NUNEATON.
I think it’s now safe to say in hindsight it would have been a big set back to momentum if we hadn’t gone up this season!

We needed a good first season to get the fans & local businesses on side . If we had just plugged along in mid table i think we would have been down to gates of 250 . Still good for this level but not what we need . Everything that's been achieved this season has been done in budget and the money we have spent is a small amount in the bigger picture .

from a non attending ex fan ( yup thats me sorry if it offends ) borne out of ignorance
is there any difference in the standard of play /clubs next season. as i know many of these lower leagues are much of a much'ness.
hopefully if the club can keep a decent fan base or indeed improve it with another promotion then great.
however there is always the flip side to any debate
ie. what if it transpires that another promotion is a step to far to soon.
ie. a mid table slog. i see your predicting 250 ish gates.
fwiw being sensible i dont think your going far on those gates.
thats not being critical just realistic.
a mid table position could well give the set up a few clues as to future aspirations
ie. to just have a club to support and not chase the eternal dream
btw no criticism intended just interesting like as i see the crossroads approaching.
cheers

I think this level had 3-4 teams that could push us. The next level will have a few more. They will cancel each other out to a certain extent. Availability of players could make a difference. A play off place should be the target.

I think Joe the majority of players this season will be good enough for the league above and several could play in the league above that ie Bedworth's current level, apparently the budget for next season is being based on crowds of 300, very sensible, although not expecting to win as many games next season still think could well be challenging for promotion again

i cant honestly agree or disagree Davey
the general census seems that we will be more than capable again
in fairness its a level i know absolutely nothing about
hence thats why i sort of asked the questions.
if you and others are right which i have no reason to doubt
then 3 or 4 clever additions should suffice for another challenge

300 ...
Should be enough to give every player this season a pay rise + add an addition or two to the squad.
It's really important to keep this squad together for the start of next season.... the initial togetherness and belief will be worth several points come the first few games.

I cant see many or if any of the current players getting a payrise, maybe only an increase in travel expenses but thats my opinion…
We do need that 30+ goalscorer, a kyle jardine, kirby forward, st andrews forward etc etc.
I did hear at the game on Saturday that Dale Eve wants to sign next season? I find that baffling considering hes been playing at step 3 however does that show our pulling power? Again only a rumour.

I really don't know how or even if they get paid but you would of thought going up the leagues the money would go up aswell. Bit like when you drop down you would get less.

Acco was Eve's goalkeeping coach at Alvechurch for a little while last season and he is second choice at Alvechurch so maybe just wants to play week in week out

I've seen a lot of games at step 5 and it's not much of a step up from where we . Certainly the grounds and crowds are not much different and most of our squad is good enough for step 5 , one or two maybe step 4 .
IMO we can get to step 4 playing at Bedworth on our current fan base . Step 3 if we get into our own ground as our fan base will probably improve by a couple of hundred . If we want to go beyond that is were it becomes a problem as we would need to bring in additional finance and that would change the nature of the club .
For now i'm just enjoying where we are .

Main thing now is we need to keep 99% of this squad together ....
Dare I say..... maybe one or two players need to be on some sort of contract .

Struggling to place exactly where this comment fits precisely into the context of the thread initiated by a Greenbacks fan last night.
Or for that matter, how it fits into the general feeling of euphoria on the forum at present over a club reclaimed and a promotion secured.
Or do I detect an imminent hijack strategy under construction?
(Holds back quivering "ignore thread" finger...) sigh......
