Should be a great occasion, especially for those who have watched religiously this season.

And because we deserve to be there, NOT like the game at Cov 18 months back which got lorded as a 'special occasion' despite us being there due to not being allowed in our own ground at the time.

Cov day out as such! a weird one. Of course that situation never should have happened, but at least we can say "we seen the Boro play at the Ricoh or whatever it's called now and score two goals and not lose in 90 minutes" It was great day out for both sides on the day. Looking back now it was like one last final great outing as Nuneaton Borough. The games to follow that fixture were pretty bad, the game against Telford at Barwell the following Sunday was depressing watch. 0-0 Draw only 200 'odd there' not even many from Telford travelled, I remember walking away from that thinking the end was near.

The game on the 30th April, is a good way to wrap up a fantastic season. I heard we sold 400 odd tickets which is incredible for a midweek league competition away from home. Obviously tickets sales have been helped by the club winning the title early on and being played at an EFL ground, brought a good feel good factor. I feel even if we lose the final, people won't care it will just be a celebration of a great season for the lads.

I won't be surprised if 600 turn up on the night, which maybe a record for this competition.

You say the CBS Arena was "one last great outing". Sorry to bring up a negative.

I know a CCFC steward who was on duty that day.

Whilst CCFC let the boro use the ground and facilities for free, Boro had to pay for the stewarding that (due to the status of the stadium) had to be done by those trained in that stadium.......guess what!!!!!!

She also found it difficult to steward as she was used to FL expectations and not what (she assumed) happened at non-league.
She was shocked was positioned by the dug outs. She was shocked at liquids/objects being thrown at the away bench.
Also, children running around in tunnel/changing room area. When they were challenged the rely was "My dad/grandad said it was okay".

Yeah don't surprise me one bit that, I know there's quite a few youngsters at the Oval that play football on the grass bank throughout the game, running all over the place sometimes not being careful. Maybe I'm a old git! but I do think some area's of the ground are not suitable for the kids to kick a football around.

As another "old git".

When I first started going to Manor Park I used to meet my mates and we kicked a football (or may be a can) up the slope that used to be at the side of the cock and bear stand (not the mound I add).

It was a strange day. I always said that if Boro ever got to the CBS/Ricoh I would stand in the Away End with my mates. Yet oddly, as things turned out I think I was in the Home End.

It was the last time I saw BoroTown in their previous existence. I did not have the backbone for Barwell.

Tempted by Walsall, as it is not one of the 132 grounds I have previously visited.

Wary about any more defamatory abuse though, if I do go.
