What's next? Well, the next season, the next league, whichever league that may be
.In spite of all the ramblings of some posters about pitches and stadia and the like, the club has to think about the task at hand.I am sure they are doing just that.
The first goal has been achieved. To get promotion. This was by no means a done deal at the start. We have realised that many of our opponents have been clubs of ambition and very well organised. We knew we had to respect them - and I think we did.
The same will be true at the next level. I'm pretty sure we will compete with a strong showing. But let's not take away from the achievement.
This has been astonishing - and in such style. These victories have been achieved in the true spirit of Nuneaton football, at whatever level. Make the most of it. Such seasons for any club come along very rarely. To do so from a standing start is nothing short of amazing.
All this, I suppose is a tribute to the depth of English football. Nobody has a right to win. Who knows which teams will be the ones to challenge? But, we're in good shape, better than we have been for many years. I, for one, can't wait for the new season - even though there are still two games to go in this one.
Good luck to us all!
