Scrappy game not many chances, dry bumpy pitch.

Yes, the pitch was a great equaliser. Thought we might get a great equaliser ourself but the spectacular half volley was an air shot.

I need to rewatch the footage of their number 6 getting the ball from a short goal kick, rolling it forwards underfoot, and then kicking it out of play on the left (it almost got to the clubhouse)! Pure football.

I think….

Last relegation place between Bedworth and rugby (nothing to say there won’t be a reprieve - there used to be a name for it)

Three to play

18 Bedworth United 37 -26 32
19 Rugby Town 137 -40 31

They meet on the 21 April at Boros’ ground 🤣😛😛😛😛

Disappointing, but a fall-off in intensity was probably inevitable after winning title and no game last week. Also, am I right in thinking that performances have often been a bit iffy on dodgy grass pitches ?

I don’t expect them to win next week either. One eye will be on the cup final. Often happens when a team wins a league form drops off as the intensity goes. Been a great season though.

The club are trying to get a decent crowd in next week that will mean occasional or even new supporters . You don't get many chances to impress . Hopefully not a performance like yesterday .

Lets hope so, at the 2 big home cowds this season - Griff and LSA, the performances were not great.

LSA as you say was a poor performance and not much of an entertainment value. It was a bore draw, to follow that we then witnessed probably boros weakest performance of the season against Saffron. Concern i have people will look at the results of last two and think, Boro just going through the motions and maybe put off going Saturday. It will be a bigger crowd but i think we will be looking 900 compared to the 1k plus, if we had beaten Saffron. Been a great season but for a advert for the club in front of a big crowd they just need to raise performance just a little, just enough to encourage a fans to come again.

It's an easy habit to fall into.

Sincerely hope Boro' (Town) will not fall into the complacency trap this Saturday. We've loved them all season precisely because they haven't.

They need to turn up at The Oval on Saturday and give their opponents a damn good thrashing. No disrespect to Smethwick, but that's how we've set our stall out this season, so no holding back: let's have an exemplary display to show doubters this is NOT just a flash in the pan.

We won this season's title by a country mile because we are the best. Lets have one last shout boys, before any presentations.

As easy as it could be to be hard on them,I think that it would be harsh to be so. Playing a team with nothing to play for,Boro being champions and having had a week off,a hard bobbly rock hard pitch and us playing hoof-ball up to our midgets up front were all the ingredients needed for a mishap. But,you know what, they are totally forgiven today and thank you, everyone concerned that is,for a fabulous unforgettable season, now put that final couple of cherries on top of the cake.

The King is dead. Long live The King.

It's been such a good season i'd almost forgotten what it was like to play poorly and get a poor result .
Fair play to Saffron they were up for it and wanted the result . We for our part looked like it was a game we really couldn't be bothered with .

Yep
Stood by the dugouts, Doddsy was very restrained compared to normal.
Not happy as some of the local lads who played for SD but were not in the squad stood by me and taking the piss about how crap we were and how quiet our support was. Ah well! The local scantily clad 'totty' was very attracted to them though and hung around so not all bad.
