A good effort to come back from 0-2 when nothing except pride was at stake. Heather lost, so Boro’ finished 8pts clear at the top.
I must say that I’ve enjoyed following this season’s efforts remotely (except for a rare personal appearance at Bridgnorth back in September).
PS - Does anyone know where I can view an appearances and goal-scorers chart?

If you go on the Full Time site
Then Midland League
Then Div 1
Then stats
You will need to scroll through the whole division and pick out our players , but if you have ten mins spare not a problem

Well that was interesting!

( I managed to sneak in after all, despite being an Outsider).
It was Town one half and Boro the other. Far be it from me to say which way round. Bit like the weather: piddled it down when I got there, roasting in the sun first half and ruddy cold for part of the second.
Full credit to Smethwick for really giving it a go. Not sure about their penalty (I was too far away) but their second looked quite acrobatic. Their 'keeper was ok for a young 'un-he saved them from a beasting, overall.
Boro huffed and puffed and hit virtually every part of the Rangers goals before finally drawing level. Late winner must have been a disappointment to them but fair play to Boro , who stuck at it and as Pod says probably deserved it in the end. The last half an hour was the kind of performance we've come to know and love from them this season.
Another big crowd and lovely to see so many familiar faces returning. I have thoroughly enjoyed this season home and away-thanks again to all responsible for providing such entertainment.

Thought the game was a bit of a damp squid end of season finaly....
I wasn't the only one to comment that the last two games have been poor in context to the rest of the season, but hey ho the jobs been done.
Next the cup final, think a few changes will be on the cards come team selection.
One thing that has come out of this season is a new club legend....
I give you Trevor Edwards ⚽️

Damp Squid?

Sounds a bit fishy. (Or am I just being crabby?) :)
Another notable thing was the eerie silence when Smethwick scored, Apart from one solitary "well done Smethwick" from the stand, after their second.
There was a moment second half when Trevor Edwards looked like he might score. I believe special t shirts will be available if and when he finally does that. Yes, top player, top bloke.
My vote for POS however went to Danico. A bit subdued today but at times this season he's been unplayable.
Don't have any complaints about ANY Boro player this season tbh.

You summed up Danico…at times unplayable, but there were far too many times when he was ineffective.
Way too inconsistent to be POS.
Edwards/Carsley have been very consistent.
Recci and Carrithers also very important players.
Spruce was superb again when he came on yesterday, and he must start the final imo.

It's what makes this (at times) a Forum. With interesting and divergent viewpoints. No one really distinguished themselves first half yesterday except perhaps Carsley. So it could be argued that at 0-2 down at HT they were all ineffective.
There were several contenders for MoM yesterday. Danico was (as you suggest) not among them. Carsley was immense. My only criticism is that he overhits corners occasionally.
Edwards is a bit of a legend. Going forwards there is always a frisson: a hope that something might be the end result. Boro used to have loads of players with that kind of charisma. It's nice to see it returning. Last few seasons under You Know Who there were too few heroes.
Recci's two goals especially the second which our neutral viewer (rightly) admired were turning points.
Subs yesterday were (as have often proved this season) pivotal. That's been a highlight every game for me. We have gamechangers in virtually every position and coaches who know how to use them to freshen things up.
