Bache substituted

Concussion I guess. Louis Baker in goal as no keeper on bench!
Big crowd must be close to 1000 Nuneatonians

Not a good idea to play a game especially a cup final with no back up keeper.

I 100% understand why no sub keeper in league games.
I honestly can’t remember when the last time a keeper was needed at a boro game (either team).
Even when one is needed it’s (statistically) no more than a half a game.
However cup games are a bit different in that everything relies on that game. I suppose it’s down to how much a gambler the manager is having looked at the odds
(I think - Acton only didn’t finish one game - Evesham ???)
Anyway - whilst it seems baker may have been at fault for the goal, it does not seem to have much/anny influence on the result. Even “proper” keepers make mistakes (“he used to be shite but now he is alright”

Bache was carried off at Lutterworth, Jackson Acton was on the bench making up the numbers that day.

Totally amazed Spruce was taken off…particularly when Danico was having one of his “didn’t look interested” games.

Disappointing end to what's been a great season . One of those games were nothing went right almost from the off . Brilliant support and fair play to Cradley who battled like their lives depended on it and imo deserved the result .
A bit of a rest then on to next season .

Yes Baker made a couple of great saves in the second half to keep us in it. Both sides gave everything. We lacked a bit of composure at times. Need a 25 goal a season striker for next season.
Bloody traffic, got caught on the M6 on the way back as well as stuck for an hour on the way there.

Took me the best part of two hours to get to Walsall , then only made it after jumping off the M6 and weaving through the streets of Brum .

Mullered Sports "Highlights"

Having now viewed these on You Tube just now I'm feeling slightly less charitable.
Some of the Cradley tackles seemed fairly industrial. As if they felt they had a point to prove.
Good to hear the "You Fat Bastard/Pies" song again. Was that directed at us, the officials or was it our very own Rangers branch giving it an airing?

Directed to the Cradley keeper, he took it well, went down the pitch to check Brandon was ok too.
