Football quality?
There have been many comments in recent threads from people ex-fans who say they don't want to watch the rubbish football at our level. I am just watching Westbury United (step 4) playing Farnborough (step 2) in the FA Cup (on the BBC iPlayer). In my opinion, the standard of football they are serving up is way below what Boro are producing every week.

I never really bought into this “poor standard of football”.
If course the standard is lower - reflected by the league.
Did it really bother spectators when boro relegated to the conference north or when relegated to Southern League*
What matters is the entertainment value, or more to the point the attempt to entertain. I get the strongest belief that current followers appreciate the entertainment (easier when winning) and the openness of the club.
* I hated SL because of the style of football served up and how the club was a family club……. Sadly, specifically one family.

It is (and remains) the quality of football that drew me back.
Brought along two new converts today. Thrilled by the high standard. They can't wait to come back.
Doesn't matter if you are playing Northampton Town or Northampton Sileby Rangers. It takes skill,, technique, high standards and good coaching to maintain those standards over 90 minutes.
