Does the wording of the official version imply a falling out between management and Spruce, as no reason is given for his departure?

Too good a player to be sitting on the bench or in the stands but he was getting pushed down the pecking order . The return of Danico and the imminent return of the lad from the US have pushed even further down the list . Probably was time for him to move on under those circumstances .

Wages are pretty static as it's generally pay as you play at this level and there are only so many places in the starting 11 and on the bench.

Still free's up two wages which ever way you look at it, and I know were not over budget so no need to bring it back in line
