Agree it's a strange one when you look at his record with us. He was voted young player of the year when on Bristol Rovers' books and played for Wales at under 19 level.

Agreed.
Last season James and other key squad players often came on as subs. When they did, it made no difference to our overall dominance. Which is the ultimate compliment.
Top all round player with a proven eye for goal.
Clearly I don't know the ins and outs of his departure but I would assume that Spruce (being the good player he is) wanted more game time? Perfectly understandable if that was the case. Danico decided to have a look round too, but came back. ( I'm glad he did).

Eesa Sawyers is clearly preferred at the moment in his right side midfield attacking position so expect Spruce was not happy being on bench.

I like Eesa, and he looks dangerous at times, but am disappointed in his choice and execution of the final ball.

American lad ( name escapes me ) is back soon. He would normally play right sided same as Spruce.... maybe his chances will/would become less and less

I think Spruce would’ve been a better option alongside Kyle in a two.
I think I’m right in saying only Baker had a better goals per minute than him last season.
