That’s a good crowd and we are getting towards double the budgeted crowd.
Good game today. I thought they were very well coached. They nullified Carsley and were under instructions to spread it wide which we’d left open.
Maybe we could have introduced Sawyers earlier? But good spirit to come back and we created lots of chances but seemed to keep falling over the ball.
Point gained given all the circumstances!

We are conceding too many soft goals and are not ruthless enough up front. I don’t think we quite have the depth we had last season.

They didn't look a bad side . Draw was probably a fair result and a late equalizer always feels a bit like a win .

Came away disappointed. We passed them to death. Their goalie made 3 or 4 top saves and looked better than what we have between the posts. Two chances kicked off their line. Two penalty shouts turned down. Lots of half chances which I am sure if Kyle had been playing would have converted, god did we miss him today. And poor poor defending at the back for their two goals.
Nevermind a draw at the end was better than a loss which we would have not deserved. And our main challenger losing their game has helped a wee bit. On to Tuesday night lets hope for better luck then.

Agree with that quote, but how did the ref and linesman miss that blatant handball we were lucky today and have been for the last 3 or 4 games ,good job the opposition do not have a good striker like Jardine,we should of not let spruce go 14 goals in 22 games,we have gone off the boil Sawyers and Harrison came in too late,we cannot carry on playing like this we will get a team who will destroy us.

Agree about Spruce but perhaps he wanted to go. Same applies to the other striker who went back to his old club and Baker. It’s hard to keep players who are not playing. We were well beaten by Dudley and we will probably be well beaten in the Vase at some point. We could do with another keeper and another striker.

What did the keeper do wrong today. Last week kept us in the league Cup with his penalty save

Been a critic of Bache for a while now, but dont think he did much wrong yesterday, couldn't do anything for both goals.

Don’t see many games. I just think an extra keeper gives us cover and pressures the first choice keeper. I also think the defence is a little shaky with not too many clean sheets. Do we need a more commanding keeper?

Only conceded 10. Smallest total in the league.

Didn't think it was a great game today.
They came to defend and at points had put everyone behind the ball, it was only the last 10 minutes we pressed and picked up the urgency.
MOTM .... I know Neeks scored 2 but I cant put my finger on one player that stood out.
Still unbeaten so we move on to Tuesday

A bit was made at the start of the season about us knowing little about the other clubs in this league but that works both ways and the other sides knew little about us , well they do now . An obvious result of that after our start is sides are much less open against us and go out to pack their defence and play on the break . With our lack of pace at the back we are vulnerable to this . Other clubs were not just going to let us roll them over all season and it was always going to become more difficult .

It’s really just a given that as you go up the levels, teams are gonna be better prepared, more tactically aware, fitter, and not just roll over against us.
Top of the league, winnable vase game, it’s going well

Suspect the opposition managers talk to each other and Aylestone Park would be keen to confound us.
I thought Godmanchester won the tactical battle. Their coach was proactive they surrounded Carsley which took away our most potent weapon. I listened to their instructions in a drinks break and it was to get the ball wide. Presumably because our full backs pushed up and there was so much space behind them.
I contrast Acton was telling Macca to liven us up!
I enjoyed the contest. Godmanchester were well prepared and we battled hard for a point!
