Hinckley keeper saved them from a beasting. Pulled off some excellent saves to keep score respectable.
An excellent performance from us and a creditable one from The New Gussetmen.
Tremendous attendance on a midweek night when Engerland were on telly.

From where I was the keeper was in the right place at the right time but still had to make the saves.
On a different day could have been 5/6-0 at half time.
To be honest they were not very good, only the keeper turned up.
Boro win, good crowd, no trouble, decent night all round.

I suppose the terminally depressed could argue that we shot straight at him all the time. We didn't: we peppered him from all angles which in itself showed that our approach play was good. We counted something like 12 half decent saves in total before we gave up counting : the majority in the first half. Quite ironic that it took the unexpected i.e.-his own player-to finally beat him.
Our keeper did what was necessary. He had no chance with their late consolation which fell beautifully for the scorer.
We were totally dominant first half: less so the second. Our style of play tires opponents out so I thought they might collapse second half but they kept blocking well and 1-3 was a good result for them.
I'm sure the stattoes will corroborate this, but neutrals sitting in front of us (yes we were in the stand),seemed very impressed with Boro' and our style of play. They had heard a lot about us and enjoyed the game..

I thought the keeper had a good game. His handling of crosses was very competent.

Better I would hope. Bache makes too many mistakes for me, but also makes some good saves. Time will tell.

It’s the level we are at. He’s a very good keeper for this level and will always make the odd mistake.

Jardine must still be carrying an injury otherwise Lock (I'm not impressed with him) would not have played. Fully fit Jardine would have deffo notched a few last night.

Just back off his holiday after Neeks had netted 2 last weekend.
Seems right to me. Neeks deserved his place, and Jardine will have to fight for it back.

Yes agree neeks is worth his place, but based on last 2 games Lock is not a replacement for Jardine.

Let's face it against Godmanchester apart from Danico no one particularly had a good game and he was asked to play out of position . I thought he was much better on Tuesday in what was a highly competitive midfield . He certainly worked hard never stopping running and he gives a physicality to the side which has occasionally been a problem against sides like Lutterworth & Dudley .

Agreed

With the added advantage that, because of his physique, defenders who don't know him mistakenly misjudge his reactions and think "oh this should be easy." Often by the time they've sussed him he's around them and off on his way forwards. Trying to clatter him to slow him down isn't much use either.
Danico has a turn of speed and a quickness of thought that punishes opponents, I've been watching him since he first arrived last season. When he picked up the ball on Tuesday night before scoring, from quite a way out, I said to my companion "Watch this! He'll have a pop from there."
And of course, he did. Again.

Strange decision to leave us in the summer knowing what he was leaving to go to what looked like a very poor Hinckley side on tonight's performance. 🤔
Good all round performance tonight, nothing like Saturday , you could of picked 11 MOTM's tonight. We looked strong in every department.
On to saturday 👍

Think it was more to do with his availability, management wanted players who could commit to training and games, same with centre half who has gone back to Hinckley, he couldn't commit to what the management requires
