Our FA Vase 2nd Round Proper fixture against Sandiacre Town at the Oval will take place on Sunday 9th November, 3pm.
Due to Bedworth United being at home on the Saturday, we approached Sandiacre Town to hold the fixture on the evening of Friday 7th. However this was declined. Therefore, the fixture will be held on Sunday 9th.

Bedworth are at home to Corby on November 8th. Does the Vase get priority?

This is a post from Lee on September 21st prior to the draw for a previous round.
FA competitions take precedence over league matches, so should we be drawn at home, we will play on the Saturday. Bedworth are aware of the situation.

As a tenant is it a good idea to fall out with your landlord , dosn't usually go well.
Bedworth have Corby at home i can't see them wanting to move that .

My understanding is that Bedworth's League game will take precedent over the Town's FA Vase game.
This is to ensure the integrity of the League as an FA competition.

C'mon, VoR, it's unlike you to not look up FA Rules before posting! The Boro/Town treasurer has already posted:
FA competitions take precedence over league matches, so should we be drawn at home, we will play on the Saturday. Bedworth are aware of the situation.
In practice, I would imagine that the two clubs will talk about it and produce a solution that works for both sides.

Totally agree Greg . If Bedworth really don't want to move there game and i'm sure they won't are we going to try and force the issue . How much harm could that do to our relationship and it must be remembered where the tenants .

Not sure this clears things up. Reads is both clubs in the same cup.
Clubs with ground sharing agreements must arrange for ties to be played on Friday, Saturday or Sunday if a clash of fixtures occurs with the sharing Club or other Sport. If for any reason a tie is unable to be played on the ground of the first drawn Club on a Saturday, the tie must be played on either the day before, i.e. on Friday, or the day after, i.e. on Sunday on the ground of the first drawn Club. If Clubs are unable to agree on the date, then it will be played on the Sunday, unless the National League System Board decides otherwise. The decision of the National League System Board shall be final and binding.

My understanding is that the FA Vase DOES NOT take precedent over League matches.
This is to maintain the integrity of the League as a competition.
The FA Vase however DOES take precedent over County Cups.
In the Town's case, Bedworth United are also the SENIOR Club in their ground-sharing agreement, which also gives them priority over fixtutes.
Edit:
It is also my understanding that when two Clubs enter into a groundshare agreement, both Clubs sign a legally binding undertaking that League games take precedence.
Therefore, the rules appear to be clear!?

My understanding has always been that all FA Competitions fixtures take precedence over League matches, including County FA games. Of course, there will be League Fixture Secretaries at work behind the scenes,as it will be them that will sort out any problems. This situation is not novel,it has been happening for decades.

It is straightforward where only one Club is involved, because the FA competition dates are knowm at the start of the season.
What is not clear is where two Clubs are involved in a groundshare agreement.
Also, in Bedworth's case, their League game also involves Corby Town, do they have to be consulted?

Maybe it’s about the fixture and not the ground sharing clubs ? This was well covered before the previous round and why it should stir imaginations again to this extent is baffling. All will come out in the wash.

We won’t be in the same section of the draw as Crook in this round. Could go there in later round if both get through. Looking at last seasons games it seems there are 3 sections North, Midlands and South. Midland section seems to start South Cheshire Derbyshire down to Northamptonshire and Worcestershire and including Cambridgeshire.

I went too that lousy night. Until its demise Drill Field was the oldest football ground in the world to be still playing football. The replay was because of Eamonn Pugh’s hat-trick in the last twelve minutes to make it 3-3 at Manor Park.

Had to look at FromTowntoTown to refresh my memory about this debacle of a game for 2 reasons:-
a) To confirm that it was in the 70's.
b) To understand why it went so badly wrong after a 3-3 draw at Manor Park. Turns out that Eamon Pugh had a fantastic chance to score a 4th goal at the very end of the 1st game - which he himself thought that he should have scored, but in the effort to score bruised his knee so he didn't play at Northwich because he was injured. We also had other players playing out of position after a re-shuffle so were nowhere near at full strength with only a small squad.

I was at the Drill Field the on the afternoon the news came through that the Sky Blues had been relegated.
Boro fans were celebrating by doing the Conga on the massive side terrace.
The Boro's game was memorable for Delton Francis' 60-yard back pass to the Boro keeper late on, which was intercepted by the Vic's striker who scored!
Note:
That massive side terrace was sold to FC United of Manchester & was re-erected at their 'Home End'.
