It's not meant to be easy work.
Good on them battling away and getting a result- that's what champions do, especially as the leagues get more competitive.

To be fair we have had the reaction we asked for after the Easington game with two hard fought away victories .
Boro started the stronger and got an early goal but as the half went along ON C came into the game and deserved to be level by the break .
Second half we dominated but struggled to find the finish . With only a few minutes to go the managment made a couple of inspired subs making the side really attacking for the last few minutes and it worked with two goals at the death taking a deserved win .
Northampton were a difficult team and this was a really good three points .

Three points again Ole Ole.

It must be really strange for some players at this level, to go from playing in front of 700+ enthusiastic fans, to playing somewhere in Northamptonshire on a breezy Tuesday night. ( That's not a criticism btw-just an observation on human nature).
Although I bet a lot of the hundred or so spectators there last night were our supporters, I'm a firm believer in enthusiasm being catching. It's definitely a psychological advantage and worth a goal at least.
So well done to the Boro team for getting the job done. Again. Twice inside three days. Three more precious points as we continue the road back. These are the ones that really matter. Every bit as much as the routs at "home."
Onward and upwards.

I 100% agree with this mate. Nowhere near the same level, but I find I perform better at cricket when it's a hot, sunny day, and half the village comes down to watch and have a pint (sometimes we'll have 150ish watching), than when it's overcast, drizzle in the air and there's 10 people watching.
Everyone responds to a crowd and wants to put a show on and not let yourself down. The less people watching, the less people to disappoint.

You're more likely to know than most and very knowledgeable.
IF, hopefully when, we get promoted back to Step 4, which league would be likely go in to?
Northern Premier League- Midlands as opposed to Southern League- Central?

Northern Premier Midlands. That is the step 4 league that covers our area. Southern League Div1 Central feeds Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire mainly.
