Have done a lot of research into local mining history and have seen many old mining plans of the area. It’s astonishing the amount of old roadways that are down there. The Griff plans look like a pile of straws all over the Arbury estate.
And Griff took the majority of three seams - a good 20 odd feet in total thickness. Only coal under Arbury hall survives as a pillar because the Hall was protected in the leases. The NCB tried in the 50s to get that coal but a public enquiry stopped them due to fears for the halls fabric. Would have kept no4 open for a few more years.
West Nuneaton must have sunk over the years because they had most of what was worth taking.

Roger Bullivent? Not a structural engineer but not convinced piling needed for such small lightweight structures. They need to be 80 odd foot. Be like a buried oil rig lol.

The Main Stand will not be a lightweight structure, it is two-storey & when it has been re-designed to be more cost-effective, it will have a steel frame with a precast concrete seating deck sitting on ledger angles supported by steel raker beams.

Roger Bullivant are competitive.

I would be talking to Ivor King Piling at Galley Common, they are a very good outfit.
