Tweet has been removed, perhaps they thought admitting liability was not a good idea.
Note to self, 'be careful what you wish for'

2nd Round, tie 18.
Sutton United thrown out - subject to appeal.
From Gresley's site.
'Rovers Re-Instated Into FA Vase Following FA Ruling
Gresley Rovers FC can confirm that following a Football Association Sub-Committee hearing today (Thursday 13 November 2025), the club has been awarded progression to the Third Round Proper of the Isuzu FA Vase.
The decision comes after Sutton United (Birmingham) were found to have fielded an ineligible player in our Second Round Proper match played on Saturday 8 November 2025, which had originally finished 4-1 in Sutton's favour. The FA's Sub-Committee determined that Sutton United had breached FA Vase Rule 15(e) by playing Joel Newman, who had previously appeared for another club in this season's competition.
As a result of this ruling, Rovers have been awarded the tie and will now host Desborough Town in the Third Round Proper, scheduled for Saturday 6 December 2025.
The club has also been awarded the winner's prize money of £900.
It should be noted that this decision is subject to appeal, with Sutton United having until 12pm tomorrow to submit their intention to appeal.
Very similar to the Clay Cross case , so i would imagine a very similar decision being made .
