Considering the standard of the opposition i felt the second half was our best performance of the season .

Massive three points
Views: 992
Bizarre opening first ten minutes as, (once again) we were treated to "stoppages" as away players rolled about on the floor feigning agony. Only to jump up miraculously after having successfully (as they saw it) "broken up play."
Didn't work really, as after they scored we seemed to go up a gear. 1-1 was a fair half time score but yes, I have to say second half we destroyed them with some lethal football.
I'd probably have taken a point at half time . They were fit, physical and cynical. Quite a handful at times. However they failed utterly to psyche us out and in the end they paid the price.

I don't think their lad was acting after Cody mullans follow through challenge or did you see it differently

Top marks to their physio for getting him going so well again, if he was that badly injured as a result of a follow through. Later on he made some good saves in my opinion. One of many miracle recoveries, first half.
We all see the games differently. It's human nature. For example:
"Aylestone with fire in their bellies made it a physical contest in the early minutes. 11 minutes in the Aylestone keeper landed awkwardly trying to reach the ball over Kyle Jardine, and having tried to take the free kick realised he was in more pain than first thought. "
-So no reference to Cody Mullein there in the official Boro site match report describing his treatment.
I thought their keeper saved them a spanking btw. So yes, they certainly did patch him up well.

I was certainly not convinced by the life threatening injuries that some of their players recovered from so miraculously and I hope they don’t recover from their comprehensive beating so easily.

So at least two of us a little sceptical about all the rolling about.
Doesn't matter now, anyway. If it was a distraction ploy it didn't work.

Could have been 7 or 8 given some of the real goal scoring opportunities we had albeit some great goalkeeping…all in all a great 3 points and hopefully back to our lethal best
