Surpassed our second half showing against against Aylestone as our best performance of the season .
Ninety minutes of domination , i'm struggling to remember Bache making a save , strong all over the pitch , totally dominant against one of the best and on form sides in our league on their own patch . Really was rather good .

I have become a casual reader of this forum as JG cured me of my addiction :)
However, I still look and like to read AA2 views in particular.
What do I see........The same discussion on what the club should do to future proof* in readiness for the football league (at least).
I have little knowledge what is happening off-the-field but from what I have seen (and heard) is that due-diligence is being undertaken and (other than the 1st manager) have not really screwed up on anything.
* To be honest; I've not bothered reading.

Where do you think the extra funds are going to come from to support a Level 8/Step 4 management team & playing squad, given that Town are now committed to pursuing a satisfactory Planning Permission to re-develop Vale View & build a new Stadium?
That is a serious question.
Ian Cook has already stated that the end of 2028 is the likely start date for the commencement of construction works in Stockingford, all being well.
That's 3 years away.

Mark has just posted an interesting article about Corby Town, who are an ambitious Level 8/Step 4 Club.
For Town to gain promotion to Level 8/Step 4 & stay there & consolidate, in my opinion they will need a turnover of £200k, all things considered.
At the same time, Planning costs will be escalating.
Something will have to give, compromises will have to made!
Town will be walking a financial tightrope for at least the next 3 to 5 years.

What funds do you think other clubs have at step 4? This current set up can achieve a lot. We should be able to survive at the level we were on before we lost the ground. The key is to keep wages at a sensible level.

Averaging over 500 at home in their own ground, owners claim to be putting in £80k per year to make up losses, players taking a pay cut in order to reduce the budget in a bid to become sustainable. Currently fifth in the league

£4k a week budget at Corby, then asked to reduce to £2,800 but the management wanted £3,100 but the owners said no.
Manager and most of the players have now left.

It's easy to just look at playing budgets but that's not the whole story!
There are other costs involved in running the Club.
Lee gives a good insight into the complete picture with his monthly Treasurer's update.
You only need to get your calculator out & tap in a few numbers & you can quickly get the full picture.

Other Clubs at Level 8/Step 4 are not having to contend with the costs of putting in a Planning Application, in their financial planning.
Edit:
Don't fall into the trap of only considering on-field stuff!

No heās just stating facts. The current playing budget seems to be working fine. We mustnāt overspend in a rapid charge for glory. Plenty of clubs in the two leagues above us cope on smaller attendances

Re: Top performance

My answer is this, if we keep winning games and moving through the leagues so be it a way will have to be found.
One thing is for sure if the club relied on people like yourself to cheer them on Easington Sports would think they were playing at the local library rather than a football ground on Saturday.

WELL DONE LADS! NICE BOUNCE BACK!

And well done all those who support the current club home and away. More on Saturday please.
Time for the "ignore" button now, as the off topic diatribes are not good for my blood pressure.

Well said. I now live in Cornwall so really value reports & opinions about the games, but not the off-topic bickering that inevitably follows. I accept that many supporters do have valid opinions on the future of the club and fully support their right to express them, but I just ask that they do so in a new thread.
