Nice to have McGrath back today, such a calming influence on the back four, + the clean sheet.
Everything went through him today when playing from the back, definitely MOTM for me.

Along with Cov United (who annihilated Oadby at The Butts).
Citizens of Leicester did not have a good day in this area yesterday. They are taking a tiny crumb of comfort from Anstey Nomads beating The Sphinx, however.
Bless.

Wasn’t in attendance today but should they have had a red card for handling on the goal-line ?
Little by little.

Well this says:
A player, substitute or substituted player who commits any of the following offences is sent off:
denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by committing a deliberate handball offence (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area)
And further:
Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by committing a deliberate handball offence, the player is sent off wherever the offence occurs (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area).
Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by committing a non-deliberate handball offence and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offender is cautioned.
So he would have been sent off if deliberate.
But the linesman told us the ref decided it hit his chest first and then went on to the arm.

Apologies, forgot add a bit onto the message...
Stood next to a ref assessor second half, and he thought that the ref must have deemed that it was not a deliberate handball, so no red card. Which seems like it was the case according to the lino!

If it’s not a deliberate handball it’s not a penalty.

Perfect Saturday

Nirvana made us work hard and a pity Jards missed the early pen.( No idea when handling the ball to keep the ball out became a yellow card offence only but it has. I have seen it a few times now,so it must be right. Hopefully our many refereeing experts will explain that one. I must have missed the rule change).
The tremendous effort they put in first half began to tell after the break.
We got better as the game progressed, worked the ball well and they began to tire. They had a few decent players. I thought their keeper had a good game and their defence was very bullish first half.
March result was the Cherry on the icing on a substantial cake. I heard the other Leicester team lost too, up the road. Shame.

Definitely not a deliberate handball.
Defender was unlucky.
Referee and linesman were correct.
