If as expected Boro are promoted to step 4 next season, how many new players will we need. Which of the current squad would be good enough for step 4.

I would say at least five. The defence will not be strong enough in a higher division, certainly in central defence, where we have little or no cover. Most teams that win leagues can carry that momentum on to at least stay clear of relegation.

St Neots won this league last season, they currently lie bottom of NPL Div 1 Midlands.

I am old enough to remember Northampton town going from the forth division to the first division then straight back down again in the 1960s. Also the Rooney-Barton team in the early nineties. This is why I said "Most teams"

Not disagreeing BUT: I think some of our current squad are of a high calibre and we would be both foolish and careless not to retain many of them.

Yes, some of our current squad are more than capable of the step up to a higher league. However, I feel that two or three of our older players will struggle against faster, more mobile players. So that is why I believe we need about five newcomers as replacements and as cover.

Although I don't know what size of squad our budget will allow us to recruit next season? ( I don't suppose anyone does yet).
I happen to think that the backroom staff have already been pretty canny in who they have brought in so far over the last two seasons. Hopefully they will have enough nous to continue that trend.

I see Beduff are now out of the drop zone, and as it stands will be in the league that Boro will hopefully go into next year.

That is the division we're geographically suited to .

Agreed- if Bedworth, both Rugby's and Coleshill are in there, you'd imagine we would be placed there too. More 'north' midlands games is good.
You're a man who knows his stuff- where do Sherwood Colliery play exactly?

As we head towards the final part of the season, we’re inviting supporters to join us for a Fans’ Forum at Queens Hall (above the Crew) on Thursday 12th February, 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
Do you have a Town question you are keen to ask? Want to better understand decisions that have been made on or off the pitch, or raise points you feel are important as the season develops? This forum is your opportunity to do just that.
Joint managers Darren Acton and Russell Dodd and board members will be available to answer your questions and will discuss the season so far, what lies ahead, next season and club developments.
The event will begin at 7:30pm and all supporters are welcome to attend.
Please note that there will be no social media coverage of the forum. The forum is intended to encourage open, in-person discussion, which cannot always be accurately reflected on social media.
With Acco, Russ and those running the club making themselves available, we hope supporters will take the opportunity to come along, engage, and be part of the conversation

I'll leave it up to others about how they felt it went! Looked around 80 in attendance which is excellent imo
The plan is to write something up to summarise the main points covered for fans who couldn't attend .
