🔵⚪ Tali Jallow joins Town! ⚪🔵
Nuneaton Town FC are delighted to announce the signing of Tali Jallow.
Tali is a former MK Dons scholar; he joins us from Newport Pagnell Town and is a dynamic central midfielder who has represented Gambia U20s at the AFCON Championship. Comfortable in possession with a big engine and a creative edge, he brings energy, intelligence, and quality to the middle of the park. Tali featured for Newport Pagnell ten times, scoring two goals after joining from AFC Dunstable in November.
His technical ability, work ethic, and all-round football intelligence have impressed Russ and Darren, and supporters can expect a player keen to make an immediate impact in blue and white.
Joint manager Russell Dodd said: “We have watched Tali a number of times this year and believe he will be a great addition to our squad for this season and going forward.
He has the ability to play anywhere down the middle and for a big lad he has great technical ability.
It is so important we sign the right players that will fit into our squad and Tali certainly has all the right attributes to help the current team.
Really pleased to have him on board for the run in to the end of the season
Welcome to the club Tali!

Some cracking football manager cliches there, “comfortable in possession with a big engine and a creative edge”. “For a big lad, he has great technical ability”. 10/10 Russ.

I came away fro the NP game saying there were no stand out players for them, which surprised me because there’s usually someone who catches the eye.

Russ and Darren have watched him several times , strong powerful and very good on the ball. Still young with an excellent footballing background

So I see, but we’ve bought a few players in this season that couldn’t make an impact.
I’m sure they came with glowing reports too.
Just saying that I commented at the time that they had no stand out players against us a few weeks ago.

Eesa jardine kai and Charlie all brought in this season I’d say they have made an impact have they not?
However all new signings come a level of uncertainty on whether they can make an impact for many reasons but that’s football at any level
You just have to trust the management, that have guided us seven points clear with two games in hand

So re-read my original comment, I was merely commenting that I apparently saw him play a few weeks back, and he didn’t catch the eye.
The pre season signings have been good, it’s the ones that have come in since that haven’t improved us.

Well I thought he was excellent BOTH times I have seen him
Vs atherstone and versus us by far their best player.
We all see it differently I guess

Decent start to his tenure yesterday.
As for previous signings that joined after the start of the season….I forgot McGrath…40 years old and a quality player.

Big strong lad looked confident on the ball , looking to get involved . Agree looks a decent signing .
Young lad from Tamworth also came on , looked like a kid allowed to play with the older boys . plus points worked hard looking to get involved , plenty of pace , prepared to run at players . Can't see him starting many but a useful addition to the bench .

With Corey Carruthers looking like he's going to be out for a while and Dec Somel playing with a groin problem makes sense to strengthen the midfield area .

ref signings,
realistically the management team must surely now be looking/planning with next season in mind
i know in football you "never say never" ... its not over till it is...or till the fat lady sings etc etc
looking at the table though WOULD YOU bet against Boro, ????
truthfully it would take one hell of a collapse, plus being a massive shock
hence every win is NOW another GIANT step with time and games fast running out.
ps. i ask out of sheer ignorance on my part is it one automatically promoted
UTB.

I know Lewis Collins was one, not sure on the others.
Around the same time Ronnie Morley signed a deal at Coalville after having 7 days put in for him. So maybe him?
