Former Boro manager.
Former Boro manager Dino Maamria has been appointed manager of League 2 club Barrow. Although he was only at Boro for a short time, he was one of the best managers we had. Had he have stayed, who knows where Boro would have been. Hope he does well.

I said he might have been if he stopped. He went to Stevenage to manage a bigger club, as did Wilkin when he went to Wrexham. You obviously don’t think people are entitled to better themselves.

No, I was challenging fact you thought he was one of our best ever managers, clearly he was not.
Good luck to him though

Never stays anywhere particularly long
65 games the most at any club he’s managed.
22 in charge of Boro, with 10 wins….

Very defensive type manager. When opposition have the ball, then all 11 back behind the ball and defend.

I remember a very good 1-0 win away at Spennymoor in that fashion under him.
Good day out that.

Probably been too young at that point, very messy after Wilkin left. It really felt like we no plans or preparation, it seemed like we going to see the season with Noony and when that wasn't working well they then panicked appointed and brought in a manager who had no knowledge of non league football or the local area and then Liam Daish came in and didn't improve thing. So many missed opportunities followed by poor decisions in the boardroom and recruitment.

To be fair the appointment of Noon was not a bad shout as he had been assistant to Wilkin. Where it always falls apart is when players wish to foĺlow the manager ,as was the case with Carr in the eighties. The loss of the manager and some of the better players can be to much of a handicap to the successor. As regards Cowan; who knew?
