Aylestone Park. 2 March Town 2
Daventry 1 Leicester Nirvana 2
Eynesbury 0 Easington 0
Hinckley AFC 7 Oadby 0
Newport Pagnell 0 Atherstone 0
Yaxley 0 NUNEATON TOWN
Good day for Boro again . Maximum points while Atherstone only drew. Boro 22 points clear. Only 11 points now needed. 10 would be enough with Boro’s far superior goal difference.
At the bottom Oadby have 16 points from 27 games
Just above them Bugbrooke have17 points from 27
Yaxley drop into the bottom 3 after Easington got an away draw at Eynesbury.

Sorry. I don't see how results not in our league effect us in any way.

When your old manager done what he did to us I want to see him fail .... if it wasn't for his main sponsor ( we know who that is ) he'd of gone long ago. Money talks in football and thats why he's still there.

I have no respect at all for their manager, indeed I never have. I was of the opinion that he was never the right man for the job at the 'Boro' and boy was I proven right. However, he has gone, and good riddence. We have had to move on, and not for the first time, at a much lower league. We are doing well ,both on, and off the pitch, for which we should all be happy and looking forward to a ,hopefully ,brighter future. What other teams outside our league are doing has no effect whatever on our season. Your comment is disrespectful to Barwell fans who, like us ,had no say in the appointment of their 'manager'!

Well, why the delight at Barwell poor results? Their fans ,like us, support their local team, and like us. had no say in who was chosen as their manager. Where I understand your view regards our past manager, unlike you I will not let him make me bitter towards any other team that he ,or any of our past managers, end up. We should respect the supporters of all non league clubs as it is all to easy to turn your back , like I know many of our fans have done. We have been the laughing stock of other clubs more than once, certainly in more recent years, but was it us supporters that made it so?

Be consistent?

I know Cov Utd are in our league, but you could argue that Gustavus has a dig at them below.
Personally, I feel no animosity towards any of the other clubs in our league.
I confess though, that whilst Boro were at Barwell, I could not bring myself to go and watch them there. It was a step too far for me . So my visit there a few weeks ago was my 110th ground visited.
Still have a bit of a thing about Solihull though....:-)

I don't realy know how many grounds I have visited, but I pretty much went to all the ones in the 70s southern league days.It is nice going away and getting other fans perspective as we always have a bias towards ourselves. Most of the grounds from those far off days have, like Manor park ,past into history. The only grounds that I felt uncomfortable at were ,Maidstone cup replay ,mid seventies, and Barnet.

I remember that cup replay at Maidstone. Evil place. As our coach left the park, a brick hit the window right next to me. And we lost :( .

Yes, not a nice night that. The league games at their place were fine so we were unprepared for the volatile atmosphere at that game.

Travels away are a fascinating thing. It would make an interesting separate thread. When we were younger, we thought nothing of driving to watch The Boro' in places like Weston, Swansea, Bournemouth, Dartford, Kings Lynn, Weymouth Southport or Stalybridge and coming back the same day. (Couldn't do it now!) "We" being the family!
Some of the other trips we broke up by staying overnight. Barrow, Torquay, Morecambe, Truro, Scarborough etc. The seaside ones were always the best away days!
Always preferred the train and when we could afford it, using them meant that we could also have a beer or five as well. Did most of the Manc clubs and some of the London ones like that.

We once got back at 6am on a Sunday after a win at Chelmsford. We ended up at a nightclub in Brentwood I think.

Yes a seperate thread at some point seems a good idea. We would often travel early to the seaside games, Margate,Weymouth, Folkestone ect so we could have a few hours before the game. Good shout!

As far as the town are concerned Cov going out of the cup might not be a good thing..whist they were involved in the cup ,their concentration was not solely on league games. I don't believe we will be caught, however, with their games in hand ,and the fact that we still have to play them at their place. We cant be complacent
