Still all to play for
Views: 564
Great recovery after 0-2 down at half time. I was working all day (ironically in Nuneaton) . When that half time score came up I dare not share it with anyone.
When the FT came up-there was a bit of fist pumping going on.
Inching towards it still.

We really are making hard work of getting over the line , we just need one performance from our last four games and were there . Even if we continue to struggle through two more points and Cov are out of it and Adders can only pull level and would also need to turn round a near 30 goal goal difference . Recent performances have been nervy and error strewn but they really don't need to be but how to get the players to relax .

Town's last game of the season is at Northampton Sileby Rangers on Saturday 11th April, if they need a backstop/failsafe to get the points they need to win the league?

We need to get over the line before then, we can't guarantee a win at Northampton people were thinking that against Eynsbury and God Manchester they all want to beat us .

It's also worth noting that - in the league at least - we are not performing to our full potential, but even with those performances we're not losing games. A point from each remaining match wins the title. In fact, a draw on Saturday does it.

Don’t panic Mr Mainwaring!

4 games to go. Still have a 13 point lead. Only lost twice in the league (others have lost at least 6 times). GD is +59. Surely there’s no need to panic?

People thought the last 2 games we had won the league they play their game against us and not so good against other sides

Corporal Jones time?

We are still SECOND in the Form table. (Atherstone top: Cov Utd beneath).
Re: our opponents going the extra mile to make life difficult for us -good for them. They'll miss us when we are gone and the extra pay day we've brought them this season. It's very much in their financial interests to make life tough for us.
I think many of us are disappointed that we've not got there yet-but it's been a long hard gruelling season. Hold our nerve: despite what a few are saying, I still think we have the quality to get us over the line.
Don't panic, Captain Mainwaring?

I think the determination shown yesterday (in the second half ) to get back into the game, then to try and win it shows the players are up for it aswell.

Can't fault the attitude or determination of the players. Sticking at the task in hand and pulling things round is our speciality.
