Just before a crucial game, do we really want to open a discussion that could undermone the confidence of our players? Really?

Good Moaning,Greg.

Not a great deal of confidence evident in several key areas on Saturday or Easter Monday tbh.
Besides, advocating better service for our pocket battleship Jards, and hoping for the return of Carsley is supporting both players.
Really.

No contest in my eyes.
Mullen would commit to a game, Jallow struts around failing to make an impact.
Personally I think most players who joined after the season began have failed to produce the goods and better players have left.
We are now in the position where we are left with few options and we have become stale and predictable.
For a couple of games we switched to wing backs and played well.
I’m amazed that we haven’t tried that recently.
…the big issue is that we have failed to find a partner for Jardine and so are forced to play 433.

Whatever formation the managers decide upon needs to have the aim to win the game rather than to hold on to the point. We all know the defensive frailties we have, certainly in recent games, so trying a containing game could easily see us losing. It is often said that the best form of defence is attack, which I fully endorse. We can, and have , scored goals as our record this season shows. So shelve the hoof ball tactics and get back to what got us to the top of the table.

Totally agree,SB

Attack, mostly on an artificial surface, with flowing forward movement swept us to the top of the League and kept us there. Players of the calibre of Sawyers, Harrison Hesson Essen (and Spruce) keeping it moving. With Jardine supplied with on the deck passes and other opportunities from Carsley's crosses and corners, we were unstoppable.
Players don't want to sit on the bench so they move away for more game time. I get that. Unfortunate though.
Hoofball is not for us. Doesn't work.

They have signed several Rushden players on dual registration forms in the recent weeks,to shore up their attempt to avoid relegation. I think that last month they led Atherstone 3-2 at Sheepy Road until two stoppage time goals sunk them. I hope that Boro have disregarded their league position and do not underestimate the task in hand.
Little by little.

We could play 3-5-2 have Sawyers on one wing and Thomas on the other and put Harrison up front with Jardine just a thought

Carsley and Thomas as wing backs
Recci and McGrath with Currithers in between
Midfield 3 Jones, Somel , Wiiliams
Jardine with either Sawyers or Harrison up top, although neither are totally suited to a two up top …there isn’t an option.

Jardine needs someone to do his running for him, Somel or Sawyers would fit this perfectly. Agree also the wingbacks formation we played (532, 352 whatever) looked good when we tried it and would suit the above too.
Really hope RD and DA mix it up Saturday to get us over the line.
