Benefit of a settled team

Just found an interesting statistic on the league website. Boro' had the six top appearance makers in their division, and four others high on the list. What a contrast from Ginelly's revolving door era!

Also worth reflecting how lucky we were to avoid any serious injury issues. Kyle only missed one game and is currently the league top scorer with twenty six goals. That highlights the need for backup next season, particularly in a higher division.

Out of interest, is there a list of the top scorers in the league somewhere?

Yes. If you go into football web pages for the league and click on goalscorers from the tabs above the league table.

FWP

Their stats are really excellent. They actually cover all UCL games. Have done all season. If you tag Boro as a favourite their scoreflashes are really quick.

Boro (obviously) top both home and away attendance records. It's a good read.

Lewis Collins surely has more than 8 league goals?

He does.

FWP is great, but at this level/league it relies on a volunteer from the club playing to update all of the game data either during the game or afterwards. The etiquette is for home team to do this, however it is not compulsory. This season there have been a number of 'home' clubs who do not do it, and I think Atherstone are one of them. However, for us, if the home team doesnt update it, either me or Owen will update the FWP. If no one updates, the league will then add in the final scores but not the team line ups or goalscorers.

Each club has to update the FA Full Time website with the match details, but the website is a bit difficult to navigate and read imo.

Next season it might be interesting to see what happens with FWP. Last season the NPL sent the live data to FWP but this season they have not done this, in part I think due to the FA introducing a new match reporting system. Im assuming club volunteers can continue to do this manually.

Volunteers

I was going to add that. Boro's stats are always impeccable and that is because of the quality of data we input. ( I think Mark himself told me that).

Elsewhere it is not so good. Certainly as far as UCL data is concerned. You still always get the results but if clubs do not notify the website in real time they list the scorer as "unknown." Some clubs do not input line ups either, as Mark has said.

I wonder (just a theory) were a few of you a little preoccupied after the final whistle on Saturday? :-)

Nevertheless, your work in keeping the FWP pages updated has been much appreciated over the season.

Erm perhaps a little US ;)

Thankfully Sileby did the FWP on Sat, so it was one last thing to think about.

No problem 👍
