This game will probably cause us one or two problems but it's about professionalism & respect . Pulling out just because we think we're too billy big balls to have to play this game or our top scorer is on his hols shows neither imo .

Coalville have also been deducted 9 points in the League & fined £300
There's a statement on their website.

There's an article on the Gresley Rovers website that states that they were also reinstated after Clay Cross Town had an unsuccessful appeal, presumably in an earlier round?
Clay Cross Town were also thrown out of the FA Vase before they were due to play Town.
It must be a tough ask supporting Clay Cross Town!

Clay Cross Town beat Gresley Rovers 7-0 at Gresley in an earlier round & then lost an appeal after losing to Kimberley Miners Welfare in the next round.
Kimberley Miners Welfare then lost an appeal after beating Clay Cross Town.
Gresley Rovers were then reinstated.
Gresley Rovers are now at home to Moulton in the Semi-Final tomorrow.

Yes an admin error.
A first team player played in an U21 game for game time and got sent off with a 3 match ban. Coalville mistakenly did not play him in 3 first team games thinking this would cover the ban. Actually he should have been suspended till U21s played 3 games which they still have not done, so he as was not eligible for the game with us. Harsh on them I guess.
Note to self, 'be careful what you wish for'

They've got Previous - Club Statement from 12th February 2026:-
Coalville Town Football Club acknowledges and accepts the decision of the United Counties League to fine the club £150 and to deduct 3 points, following the recent disciplinary case relating to the fielding of an ineligible player in our fixture against Holwell Sports on 18 November 2025.
I want to personally apologise on behalf of everyone at Coalville Town FC for the mistake that led to the three-point deduction, after we unknowingly fielded an ineligible player in the match away at Holwell Sports.
It was an honest error, but a costly one, and we’re genuinely sorry. Our club has always prided itself on doing things the right way. We’re run by volunteers who give up their own time because they care deeply about the team, the supporters, and the town. This is the first time something like this has happened, and it’s hit all of us hard.
We’ve already started looking at how this slipped through and what needs tightening up so it can’t happen again. Everyone involved works incredibly hard behind the scenes, but we accept that we fell short here. What matters now is that we learn from it and put stronger safeguards in place.
