Let others speculate. At least three names have already been put forward by various posters. Until the club announce a signing it is all conjecture.

I think the management said they wanted to give all of last season’s squad a chance if they wanted to stay.

Highly commendable, I'm sure. But leaves little scope in budget for new recruits, unless there is a marked increase in budget for this season. Bit part players of last season, surely, will not be deemed good enough in a higher league.

I think there will be younger players and most of last season’s players will get the chance to prove themselves at this level. We usually seem to have a squad of about 24 at the start of the season and that gets whittled down.

After what they have achieved the last couple of seasons the managers probably feel they deserve a chance at the higher level . Hopefully they will be ruthless if players are clearly not up to it and some won't be .
