In ansteys title winning season…17 in all competitions last season stats are wrong , the article refers to 9 in fa trophy only . Article has been updated to reflect that
Liam was very good in two spells at Bedworth and a proven step 4 player with a league winning season on his CV
The last few seasons top goalscorers in the league 20 , 23 and 30 goals

Somewhat underwhelming really. Melcolm Christie was a gamble though: he turned out to be a fantastic signing.

Feedback from fans of his former clubs:
Bedworth fan: "You have signed a fast pacey goal scoring centre forward, he will quickly become a fans favourite"
Anstey fan: "Got yourself i great player there. If he gets enough game time he'll score goals and could be up their for top goal scorer"
Anstey fan: "you have made a good signing, look after him & give him the game time. He won’t disappoint. He’s a hard worker, ya fans will love him. Good luck for the season from a disappointed Anstey Nomads FC fan."
Bedworth: "It's a bit galling that our ex terrace favourite has joined our closest rivals but I get it"

I'm fine with it. My comment was in response to other posters that seemed to be expecting a better known name. If he is anything like his uncle then there is nothing to be concerned about.

Gez Murphy.
Who, as some may recall is a Top Bloke. BoroTown Legend. Blue and White right through. Used to help me out with coaching sessions occasionally and once arranged to present me with a signed Boro shirt at my retirement do.
The new lad will know what it means and where the goal is.
