Is this the first time King Kev has returned with a team to face Boro/Town since his departure?

Good honest interview again by Doddsy, full of praise for Telford and the way we played. Squad will be reduced in the next week or two, think we have about 22 players at the minute.... my guess would be about 17/18 come start of the season, No McGrath or Hendry today 🤔

We only have 19 if you take out the trialists . There's one of them i'd definitely look to keep the lad who played left mid second half yesterday ( he's played in all three so far and looks useful ) and we still desperately need an additional forward . We've probably got too many central defenders and loads of midfielders . So one of McGrath or Reeci and Hendry to go along with at least one or two others from last seasons squad . It pains me to say that particularly about Reeci but we move one . The keeper situation is one to watch as we can only play one and i don't see either being happy sitting on the sidelines .

+1 on all that ..... painful decisions have to be made in the end.
Been told we're looking at a forward on loan
( if it comes off ) but may have other irons in the fire.

Edit .... I can see Hendrie staying only because of his family connection.... not because of his ability. Just my view

Any news from the club on the loan player we've signed ?
Was expecting him there last night .... only two pre-season games left, cutting it a bit short 🤔

Niall Flint i believe, another Bromsgrove former player. Played Welsh Premier too, plays on either side so good depth.

I would expect Macca, Hendrie to be registered and play if we are ever short but agree would be disappointed to see either of those start over the new lads who look v impressive!

Can also see Hesson going out on dual reg and maybe Bache.

Think Flint played for Barry Town in the welsh prem .
Agree about the new lads every one of them look good i'd go as far as saying most of them look above step 4 .

The problem is we are judging them on pre season friendly games. Results are not really relevant in these games, as they are to bed in the new recruits ,and get the squad match fit.

Playing 5 at the back we've cut out everything they've thrown at us in the first half. Trialist striker done well but nothing special... second hand we'll see another team out.
King Kev and Nooney kept quiet by a very positive defencive Boro.

I can't see 20 odd Telford kids making the trip when non of their real fans bothered.

They ( Telford Juniors) sat in the stand very quietly and happy until the boro under 12s came in and started making a noise ... to which they soon had short shift from an official ( i think ) .... things got worse for the under 12s when 2 where chucked out, and the rest started to cry " there our mates, im going if they do "
And that was it ....

The End 😁

None of that happened. You just posted complete crap.
The Telford lads got chucked out of the club, they went to the stand then decided to go after the Boro kids behind the goal at the car park end. Boro stewards stopped it.

Not sure about club house but that happened in the stand.

I sat in the stand the boro boys came in singing, Telford lads replied in turn.
The bloke who came into the stand ( boro chap ) absolutely launched into the boro lads and kicked them out of the stand, all this happened right infront of me.
Got told later by the same bloke 2 boro lads got kicked out of the ground and there mates followed.
Also told police involved at some point before the game they informed the club.

Ok to hear decent vocal support Tuesday night but their overall behaviour then was abysmal. And some were drinking.

Confrontation waiting to happen. Not remotely interested in the footie, half of them. Keep them o, or they will drive decent fans away. ( Ones who pay more than £1 a game to get in, too).

Bring back the Birch, And Transportation. And flogging.

I love that. Right on the money. That's how it felt, trudging up to LW and back again towards the Final Countdown.
I never went to Barwell when we were exiled there. Could not stand the pain.

Bit different now.

when you think back through the decades and we have had our moments in all fairness
BUT we ve had to put up with piles of utter shite and carnage more so off as on the field.
yes good and bad times come and go that applies for every club in the country
Worcester city 2 Liverpool 0

again its been the off the field relentless shite that broke the last straw for me.
and that applies to a few i know too.
first game 1952/3 season.

ps. im in no position to comment on present day matters, hence no comment.

Very true. I only go back to the early sixties, but like you say, the off field running of the club has ,at times, been shambolic. Investment, or lack of it, led to Manor park being condemed after the Bradford disaster. If the club had followed through with their plans, in the mid to late sixties, then I believe we would still be on our 'home ground' at Manor park. The transfer of Franklin, back to Atherstone, and our signing of Vincent, and Mackay brought home to me the calibre of those running the club. Several directors, either resigned , or threatened too, rather than back their manager's judgement on the deal. Shambolic!

yep water under the bridge and all that.
we can all be wise after the event and YES that includes me
remember the cock and Bear end being re covered after the old stand basically disintegrated
cost a reported 4k a lot of bread then,
forget how long the cock and bear end was uncovered ?
the proposed overhanging canopy was never put up
ran out of dosh at a guess.
in a nutshell we are where we are, we asked and asked for it.
whatever the future holds i have no idea.
the lads running it now cant do any worse, thats for sure.
wish them all the best.
anyway said far too much back to the TV racing... more losers ;-)

Since the good times of the mid to late 60s it has just been periods of boom and bust, didn't seem.to matter who was runing the club no one could sustain periods of calm for more than a few years, had the board during the good times of the 60s followed through on the plans to develop MP who knows if things may have been different, the decline of MP qas certainly one drain on finances
